Ahem... I believe Bllodofheros did this review justice. I'll quote from the review: "But give credit where credit is due. The band is upfront about their love for Black Sabbath (and other early doom and NWOBHM like St Vitus, Thin Lizzy, and Iron Maiden), and they play the genre pretty well, although the Sabbath influence is clearly the strongest by a farthing. The riffs are big and bluesy, the solos are tempered with style and subtlety over speed, and the bass just growls away underneath the high pitched vocals and sludged-up riffs". It's an accurate description. If you were looking for 5 skulls, you should know that origionality, structure, and fluidity are all part of the mix in a review.

Hey KMADD, nice to see you logged in here! You know everyone has different tastes though. You can definitely question the conclusions of someone who has tastes different from your own. There's no way around it really. It's hard to remove personal tastes from the equation when doing reviews.

KMADD: I front a group called Blind Greed. I like The Gates of Slumber personally, but it's just not surprising to me that they get lower marks in reviews. The people that like them could really care less about the reviews anyway, so there you have it. Cheers.
