Slayer has posted the title track to their "World Painted Blood" album online on their MySpace player.
As previously reported, "World Painted Blood" will come in three different editions of the album: Limited edition CD with multiple CD covers, Deluxe edition CD/DVD, and a high-quality, 180-gram vinyl edition. The limited editions will initially ship with four special collector's edition CD covers. Each of the four covers will display one-fourth of a continental map illustrated with human skulls and bones; when placed together, the four images form a complete and grisly map of the world.
"World Painted Blood" will be released Tuesday, November 3rd in North American and Monday, November 2 to the rest of the world. Here's the "World Painted Blood" tracklisting:
1. World Painted Blood
2. Unit 731
3. Snuff
4. Beauty Through Order
5. Hate Worldwide
6. Public Display Of Dismemberment
7. Human Strain
8. Americon
9. Psychopathy Red
10. Playing With Dolls
11. Not Of This God

It just doesn't cut it, and whats up with the sh**ty production the guitar sounds like a toy. Slayer lost it many years ago. Their just digging a grave for themselves. They are up the same road as metallica. Just plain pathetic. It'd be nice if they put the time into writing an album. Sounds like it was slapped together in ten minutes. No brains involved. It's very sad.

Jamez: I'm betting it's just that. This often happens with pre-release material and everyone gets their panties in a knot about the sound until the actual album drops. Psycopathy red was like that when they first leaked a "snippet" and it sounds completely different now.

Agreed with the pre release sh!tty quality take....didnt like the 1st song i heard, but in all honestly without being biased or nieve in my music opinion, slayer has not made a bad lp, i dont think ever....i mean maybe their are songs not as good as some, but when you listen to an entire slayer lp, its always either great, solid, or pretty good,...cant remember slayer making an lp were i said to myself mehhh, or god that was awful....will reserve judgement till i hear the whole lp...none the less still one of the best live shows youll ever see today....

I have been a huge Slayer fan my whole life. I first started listening to Rein and South in grade school. I was sort of into the style on God Hates, and then I almost liked a couple songs on Christ Illusion. And now with this release I feel like the sound and style are a bit like the true Slayer I know, but I don't feel like what I've heard is produced too well, and the riffs are pretty lame. I'm also not into the lyrics and concepts too much at all either. Just not too into it in general. Slayer is still the f***ing sh** though!

Look, the bottom line is this. From God Hates Us All to Christ Illusion. They were all heavy chorded thrash songs, no doubt. But, it sounds like this new album of theirs is kind of going back to their roots. The beginning of Hate World Wide sounds a tinge bit like "Black Magic," while Psychopathy Red sounds close to "Sex, Murder, Art" but more on the simple side. As for "World Painted Blood" it definitely has melody and I actually am loving it the more and more I blast it in my car. it definitely has an 80's vibe with twists of new. This album should be given a chance. Please do not compare it to Metallica. Metallica sucked for years after In Justice...up until Death M. Slayer has never sucked.

just listened to the title track on their myspace page. i like it a lot. i wasn't crazy about the 4 alternate album covers, but i guess those are actually just sleeves on top of the regular album cover which depicts the entire world painted blood. the slayer logo features prominently in the center. very cool.

not a bad track at all ... but i think it's not that good to be the title and opening track... when i heard it first it seemed alittle strange to me but it grew on me for the second time.... the more listen to it, the more i like it !
but there are also weak points in this track too , it's too long for being a slayer song ! dont get me wrong i like it but i think it lasts so long... anyway i think this song sh**s all over anything they've done in CI and also endgame( lol poor dave ) ! CI really sucked ! and i agree , they are going back to their root !
sorry what araya said repeatedly ????? " World painted blood- NO PLEASE I'M SO WEARY???"
lol ! sorry my listening skill is not as good as yours !

i like it but there's not much of slayer music i don't like. as long as the root of the CD still remains like they have for years it will be another great album....but i don't like the album cover this time around im going to have to buy the deluxe edition just to get the whole cover art hopefully it will cost less than buying 4 CD's ..dose anyone know if there will be a vinyl ?

I like it. Dont love it though, to be honest. The guitars sound quite "nice" to me, and "nice" and Slayer is not a good combination in my opinion.
I´m close to lovin "Hate Worldwide" though
