Melodic Death Metal legend Dark Tranquillity will release “Where Death Is Most Alive” DVD / live album on October 26th, 2009 in Europe and November 11th, 2009 in the US. This incredible career spanning DVD will include a 20-songs main show filmed in Milan (Italy) in 2008, as well as a second DVD containing tons of previously unreleased live footage, all promo clips, a 47 minutes long documentary and much more.

The main show’s audio, mixed by the renowned Tue Madsen, will also be released as a separate live 2CD and you can now listen to a first teaser track, “The Treason Wall (Live in Milan 2008),” at the band’s redesigned MySpace page.

As a very exclusive premiere of the DVD, German Metal Hammer magazine & Mikael Stanne (vocals) visited a dedicated Dark Tranquillity fan with cases of beer, chips and of course the brand-new DVD in his living room. Stanne comments:

“Damn, the past weekend was a tough one. Actually one of the craziest weekends in Germany ever! First I had the honour of premiering our forthcoming DVD for some really cool guys from Bochum who applied for a Metal Hammer competition. And being the “prize,” I had to be the good houseguest and bring tons of beer and booze to their houseparty that of course quickly got out of hand in the best possible way. It was great seeing the DVD with other people so I got a chance to get some perspective on it. And judging from the reactions, this is a real winner. Thanks guys for making me feel at home and being exremely cool. Then it was on to Hellflame festival where madness, nakedness, darkness and drunkedness happened as usual. Got to meet some new friends and had an altogether great time.

Cheers guys & look out for our brand-new DVD! / Mikael Stanne”

Pictures from the “Where Death Is Most Alive” living room premiere will be posted soon.
