Cradle Of Filth Cuts Short Bloodstock Open Air Performance Due To Unruly Fan

Band Photo: Cradle Of Filth (?)
Cradle of Filth has issued the following update about cutting short their Bloodstock Open Air performance:
"Cradle Of Filth were forced to cut their set short after guitarist Paul Allender was hit by an object thrown by a member of the audience, resulting in Paul being unable to finish the performance and requiring medical attention.
"Bloodstock are disappointed that one selfish ticket holder soured an amazing day and a stunning performance by the closing headliners, and hope that the rest of the fans in attendance will enjoy the rest of weekend with the camaraderie and unity that has made Bloodstock Open Air the great festival it is."

Did he get hit by n korean scud or what?...people throw sh!t all the the time.cans, bottles, eggs tomatoes, etc but ive rarely if at all seen a substance thrown were a band member has been hit and had to cut short their set, i like the band, your gonna have hooligans were ever you go, i d like to know what the substance was and what the nature of the injury was...if he faked an injury out of embarasment, what a whuss, but if it was a significant injury, security was piss poor and fahq them

I stayed for the first song but went and saw Abgott and The Rotted instead because Dani's voice was offending my sence of music. heard plenty of rumour though.
i had been spending the weekend with the guys wearing Dani filth is a c*** shirts and they didnt even see what gt thrown and tehy were front and center

Wow, some of the stuff posted on here are really ridiculous.
Some wanker thought it would be funny to throw a god stopper at the band, I am pretty sure they were aiming for Dani as he was next to Paul when the object was thrown, but he moved and it hit Paul instead.
Quite frankly I'm digusted at the behaviour of some selfish people. There were a lot of people there to see COF that day and a few individuals thought they'd ruin it for everyone else. I honestly think they should be named and shamed and banned from next years Bloodstock.

Wait ... Abgott was playing at the same tiome as CoF?
Why did anyone even bother to go and see CoF when they could have gone and seen Abgott? =/
Yeah, from what I've heard Bloodstock isn't as amazing as the line-up suggests. I'd go to sonisphere next yuear instead anyday. Especially if maiden ARE headlining. :D
Oh and BTW, the 'Dani is a c***' t-shirts officially made my day. ;D

the objects that were thrown at Paul were a pound in weight and at the speed they were going, they could have killed someone. the gob stopper hit Paul in the spine and then he collapsed, causing Cradle to have to end their performance so that a medic could attend Paul and so they could get him to the hospital so that they could make sure that there wasn't any lasting damage. a few had barely missed hitting Dani, Ashley, a terminally ill fan, and Dani's daughter Luna. so to the people who are bashing them for having to end the set, i'd like to see them get hit in the spine with a baseball going full speed and see if they are able to keep going. Cradle f***ing rules. I hope Paul gets better soon

well i know now never to go to see them live expecially for cof headlining. they'll either a) get objects thrown at them, and they'll have to leave the stage, or b) the lead vocalist will just walk off stage in a fit.... pathetic

hah. hope the guitarist's ok, but pity cradle of filth were headliners. a) they don't deserve it, and b) it would ahve given a more deserving band time for a lonmger set. :)
