Delain Issues New Road Report

Dutch female fronted band Delain has issued the following road report and announcement about shooting a music video:

"With the recordings of a new videoclip on saturday, and a performance on Hollands biggest festival (and also western Europes biggest motorcross) on sunday, this weekend has been very exciting for Delain.

"The weekend started very early on saturday to look around on the location for the video. The owner of the place is an artist who makes his art out of old vinyl records. We all quite liked it accept for Ronald who was upset with the cut up metallica records. At 8.30, our make-up artist Nadia carefully brushed away the evidence of the early morning under our eyes and made us look like rockstars again. From 9 in the morning untill midnight we've been working on the video. All went very smooth and, without even having seen the result yet, we want to thank our video crew for making this awesome day possible. Here are some pictures of the day, not too much though, we don't want to spoil the surprise! ;)

"At the end of the day we all went home very satisfied and tired. the band crashed at Martijn's and Charlottes place to be closer to the location of the festival of the next day. The Zwarte Cross Festival!

"So at sunday, we had another early wake up call. We were going to the Zwarte Cross festival which is known for both the bands that play there, as for the motorcross which is part of the festival. Besides that the festival is also known for it's visitors throwing beer at the bands as a gesture of appreciation, so we left our crisp white outfits at home.

"The drive to the festival was a long one with a lot of traffic. Sander almost gave up halfway the drive to the festival because of caffeine shortage, still tired from the day before. But we made it! The festival had a very cool atmosphere, the dressing rooms had this great welcome speach on the wall (picture below), and the catering was awesome (Sander regained energy from hanging under the coffee machine a few minutes). The gig was awesome! The field was filled with smiling faces and afterwards we could congratulate on of our loyal fans with her 40th Delain gig. Congrats!

"That's it for now! Our next gig is next saturday: Schollenpop. This festival is at the beach so we're all hoping for good weather !!"
