yeah i really thought that they should have more metal on gh at first, but then i dont want the groups getting popular because they were on guitar hero, like i didnt know who dragonforce was till i played gh, then u couldnt say dragonforce without someone going "omg that song was so hard on guitar hero" so yeah, i dont want to get sick of cannabal corpse like i did of dragonforce,

I'd love there to be more metal on GH because I'd enjoy the sh** out of playing it. The popularity thing would be a little annoying. I gotta say tho, as much as I love metal, there's a lot of classic rock that this game is just MADE for, man. It ain't metal, but it's still awesome fun to play :)
I heard somewhere that they're making a DJ version of guitar hero... I may have been trolled tho lol... not sure if it sounds horrible or amusing???

They really skimped on the heavy music... Rock Band still is the only game to play if you listen to the heavy stuff, At the Gates, Bodom, Slayer, Megadeth, White Chapel, Job for a Cowboy, Between the Buried and Me, All That Remains, God Forbid, Black Dahlia Murder etc..... The Guitar Hero ppl don't take any chances at all.

i was just stating it would be cool to at least have a patch to download.. they give all these oppurtunitys to other bands to just dump music on here if they want it why not give you the choice to download the music you really like for it.... like your own personal guitar hero.. lets face it there will never be guitar hero: death metal.. but it would be fun to have options

Yea. Leave the metal out, when I say something about Raining Blood I wanna hear about revolutionary death metal, not guitar hero.
And you guys should check out Frets on Fire. It's open source GH with user made songs...Meaning TONS of metal. I've got cannibal corpse, bodom, in flames, fear factory, you name it.

They should just release them by genre - Have a Blues Hero and a Thrash Hero and a Death Metal Hero and a Black Metal Hero and a Classic Rock Hero and a Traditional Metal Hero and whatever the f*** else. That way the scene kids could chew up their Metalcore Hero and Hardcore Hero and Nu-Metal Hero etc and the rest of us could enjoy playing some killer tunes without worrying about exponential increases in popularity of decent music.

#22 : agreed... too bad RB's gameplay sux just about as much d!ck as a downtown hooker. as for psythe's multi-genre GH (LMAO!!) not only HIGHLY unlikely but also extremely costly for those rare and few ppl who r like me =\ who aren't fvckin' cvnt @$$ elitists fvcks that ONLY listen to what's "BRUTAL" and "METAL", which is, by far, the stupidest thing EVER, imo at least, next to ONLY listening to what's famous/mainstream. i would get the death metal, thrash, melo-death, metalcore, black metal, symphonic metal, alt. metal, grunge, nu metal, etc. let's just leave it the way it is... if anything, then just come out with a METAL hero and to hell with ALL the subgenres rlly. Just put "all-things-metal" on it, from slayer, bodom, and log to system, korn, and slipknot, along with behemoth, within temptation, suicide silence to all that remains, killswitch, and august burns red. i mean, why not? u know... a lil bit of METAL for just about everyone and i would definitely purchase that sh!t.

i totally like the idea of seperate metal heros, but i dont think black metal hero would sell to well, and wouldnt they need a keyboard controller for some metal. and they'd also have to go family friendly cuz some metal like say cannibal corpse could turn some ppl off not to mention parents whose kids want metal hero which would just start the tipper gore sh** again. so maybe metal should just stay out of guitar hero altogether.
