Fascinating album art cover - the only thing that freaks me out it looks like "crickets/some kind of flying insects" around the Cover art framing. I don't like insects other then that it looks amazing howbiet the people in it look like their being controlled/maybe cloned or something "creepy" but still mesmerizing MEGADETH new album/Cd art work. Cool-All the best!

im not really that impressed with the new artwork. I really liked the style of all the other megadeth albums. the layout for the cd just doesn't work for me. What I would do to express the same kind of idea is to have Vic Rattlehead crouching on a ledge on the right looking towards the viewer. then below the ledge you would see the prisoners walking towards the containment centre(?) on the left. maybe u would have endgame at the bottom of the cd cover.

Am I one of the few people who isn't particularly impressed with the new album artwork? ... It's a bit of a disappointment to me, but perhaps my hopes were too high; my standard for artwork from Megadeth is measured against "Rust In Peace" and "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?", both of which would be nigh impossible to topple for me.
Oh well, I'm still looking forward to the album (as artwork has almost no effect upon the quality of the album, as Devildriver have certainly proved recently). I've read online from people who have listened to the album, and I've heard positive reactions. At the very least I'm interested, and at my highest, I'm hoping for a classic album, which is too expectant.

I think people have it in their heads that once a band makes a classic album or two, they never can again, no matter how good it is. I was really impressed with United Abominations so I have high expectations for Endgame, but even if it's the best album of Megadeth's career, people will find some flaw with it. For example I thought Sepultura's last album ranked up there with Chaos A.D. but I'm sure people will argue with me on that.

united abominations was f ucking sweet radio killed washington is next and and the frenchie song but i was happy to hear that on radio instead of all the other BS and it was really good... sleepwalker is one of my alltime favorite megadeth songs ever... im anticipating this album more than any other one this year.... ^^^^ hey oz, im going to check ALEX out now i never gave it a chance B4 this better not be a cruel joke to make people put dookie in their ears, i like chaos a.d. alot i really didnt expect them to ever do anything good after roots.

I think I get the meaning of the cover. Society is being brainwashed, that's what all those people with the same orange suit represent, heading to their "containers", they will be encaged. Also, the insects form a circle, and that circle really looks like the crowns used by the lords and powerful men in Greece and in the Roman Empire to grant freedom to their slaves. That represents that there is no freedom anymore, or the meaning of freedom hasn't the same meaning anymore.
Overall, it's cool, but I cannot understand why isn't Vic in the cover, it could be placed perfectly in the cover as one of the "orangies".

CrazyfoX: I never said I was personally certain, but post 20 did make me think a little bit. I mean in the same way "how do we know it's Vics", "how do we know it's NOT Vics?" Either way it wouldn't matter to me. I think the cover ain't bad, but the flies on the edges still bother me a bit.

I have been working on a theory that might prove that the figures on the cover are indeed Vic's.
As we all know, on every album that Vic has appeared in, he usually depicts some form of corruption or violence through his point of view based on political issues. The cover concept on this album obviously screams out "Brainwash!" The album title "Endgame" only adds emphasis. Since corruption is a valid visual here, there is a slight possibility that the unidentified figures can in fact be considered Vic's.

nobody seems to understand the meaning by the album covers of megadeth... endgame was a book writen about the government killing off the rest of the earth's population united abomination was an angel with oil drums: the blood of the earth people just say " what a cool cover" look into the meaning
