Vans has joined forces with Nuclear Blast Records and plans to unveil a custom pair of shoes that will feature Dimmu Borgir art. The only pair will be raffled off and given to one winner. The shoe will be on display at Booth #116 at the San Diego Comic Con starting July 22nd through July 26th.

All visitors purchasing Nuclear Blast product at Booth #116 will be entered to win. Entries will require contact information as well as desired shoe size. Vans will announce the winner at a later date. There are plans for more custom shoe collaborations tied to Nuclear Blast bands & album releases in the not-so-distant future.

Vans’ Matt Shipman comments:

"It's an honor to be working with one of the founding extreme metal labels. I have been a huge Nuclear Blast fan ever since the early nineties and most of their now legendary death metal releases! Being able to work with such a well-respected label and the black metal powerhouse DIMMU BORGIR is an honor. I look forward to doing more projects with Vans and Nuclear Blast in the future!"

Nuclear Blast’s Gerardo Martinez comments:

“What else can be said about Vans that hasn’t being said? They are the BEST shoe company in the world! They provide the blue print for the many companies that imitate them and will continue to do so. They dominate the Skateboarding, BMX, Surfing and extreme sports worlds, and to have them be a part of ‘our’ world is simply mind-blowing. I was surprised at how many metal heads work there and how passionate are about our bands. It’s a pleasure to be working with them!”

Silenoz of Dimmu Borgir states:

"Finally we have a real special treat available for the true DIMMU fan! What other company in the world other than Vans could possibly do a DIMMU BORGIR shoe justice? Wear it proud!"

if you go to their website, you can email them and they'll send a new copy to you. I got mine in January. What they need to do is get cracking on their next album...

I agree with post 5. DB and VANS don't really go together. That's like if Suffocation released a post cereal flavor.

or if Emperor released a line of badminton racquets.....

Mayhem releases DKNY casual wear.....

just don't work for me....

"Blood Oath cereal, it turns the milk red, and you can practically see the look of fear on the face of the crucified jesus marshmellows!" Now at your local wal-mart, because wal-mart will sell anything as long as they get money...
