Gross Misconduct Recording New Album

Vancouver death/thrash band Gross Misconduct is set to begin recording its second album, with drum tracking to commence at Vancouver's Mushroom Studios on July 18.

Following up on Gross Misconduct's independently released 2007 debut "The Process of Indoctrination," the band's as-of-yet-untitled second album is set for a fall release date.

"We've got nine songs and around 50 minutes of material," said Gross Misconduct guitarist/vocalist David London. "Our new album represents the next logical step in our progression as musicians. There's some songs on there that you'd come to expect from us, but definitely some tunes that will catch people by surprise. There's a healthy mix of fast and slow, brutal and epic and maybe even an instrumental in there as well..."

With a recording schedule that will take the band through August, Gross Misconduct is also playing a handful of festivals and club dates while in the studio.

The band will perform at the Vans Warped Tour at Vancouver's Thunderbird Stadium on August 14 and at the Alberta-based Harvesting Hell Festival, alongside Atheist, Quo Vadis and many more on September 6. The band will also headline a show at the Cobalt in Vancouver on July 31 with Over The Coals and Resurgence.
