Dream Theater is amazingly talented but that is all they have. Talent isnt everything and they go over the top with it so far that they strip away anything that makes them slightly interesting. Maybe the overdo things, but that's what progressive metal is all about! Pushing the limits. You can't say that they suck or make bad music, because they are damn good songwriters and have written songs in pretty much every genre, time signatures and tempos and whatever! You can't argue about that they are talented, good songwriters and so on, and so on!
