3 Inches Of Blood Signs To Century Media Records

Heavy metal group 3 Inches Of Blood has announced that they have signed a new worldwide deal with Century Media Records, who will be releasing their new studio album later this year.
Singer Cam Pipes states: "Ever since our departure from our previous label, Century Media has been in the forefront trying to get us to sign with them. No other label showed as much enthusiasm and belief in our band as they did. Right from the start we all got a great feeling from the whole Century Media team. We feel comfortable with the vision they have for us and are confident they have the necessary tools and motivation to help us in the ways our previous label didn't. We can’t wait to unleash this new material upon the masses."

^ cynic thats not entirly true, ok some bands in the past ya, but they still have an arsenal of solid bands,...bands that have been with the label for a long time and bands like cky, collective soul, lynard skynard, and ratt i wouldnt say are trendy bands.....their is no perfect label out there, everyone has their quirks, but to say roadrunner is ridiculous, is just that

Roadrunner p***ed all over Pestilence, Gorguts, Death, Obituary, Deicide as soon as death metal wasn't the new in thing. For treating my favourite bands like that ALONE is enough for me to hate them. Now they're just another label home to Nickelback and any other band that can pull in the $$$, music aside.
The good bands left like Megadeth or Opeth are so big they could be on any label, it doesn't matter. RR went from a label supporting underground bands like Cynic and Xentrix to selling them all down the river to become a big label. I support RR like I support Nike sweat shops. To quote Glen Benton (I could choose many others) " Basically they're no longer a metal label, they're just into what happens to be in [...] Roadrunner have a way of destroying bands by breaking them up financially".

They f***ing p***ed on gorguts. They should drop f***ing sh**ty bands like nickelbank. and Pick up some decents ones. they are also loseing a few bands to Century Media daath. as for century its a hit and miss for me they have some good bands but the also have their fair share of trendy metal. So ill stick with relapse records.

I remember reading an article back in the day about this. Cool bunch of guys, A LOT of fun. Good to see they are making it. RR blows. Cynic dropped the best quote possible ["Roadrunner have a way of destroying bands by breaking them up financially"]. Exactly what they do. I really like prosthetic records lately, they have a solid line up. ( Or had?)

I'm currently a big fan of Profound Lore Records, good to deal with and a great line up (Loss, Hammers of Misfortune, Alcest, Amesoeurs, Leviathan). There are too many examples but my favourite tale is always how RR changed the cover of Pestilence's "Consuming Impulse" right before release without even telling them, or letting them have input on what the new cover would be.

They p***ed off a lot of good bands because they were not making enough money. RR will do the same to these trendy money making bands in few years. they will then sign what ever genre is "in". Thats why they suck. The only bands I can see them not treating like sh** are megadeth and opeth.
