I'm not even that big a fan of slash, but, if he ended up in the ozzy slot guitar-position, under that frame, I could probably really enjoy whatever came out of that.
I'm just happy he said Ozzfest is comin back. I mean, mayhem is great this year, but last year it was worse than the worst Ozzfest, so I would much rather have a dependable solid metal festival that something that has to be sponsored by an energy drink so they add gay bands to what could be a good line-up, in order to sell more tickets.

That was awesome & a hearty congrats to OZZY - The Prince of Darkness legend on his "Lifetime Achievement Award" presented by REVOLVER: Golden Gods Awards. Finally, finally a Metal Music TV Event here in the States/USA & may it continue on yearly. Wow, that's cool been on the scene since 1968 music artist Icon Ozzy Osbourne that's some hard earned treasure yrs there and his still groovin' ...'right on Ozzy! Curious to see what his newest music quest will be with guitarist Master Slash & it's great to hear that he gives much honor to "all" those bands that appeared/worked their music magic on his much "successive & heavy" OZZFEST Music Concert Festival. Continue success to OZZY OSBOURNE & his Family/The Osbournes: their TV show is a total trip! cheers.

^worse than black rain is always possible. Heard the past five metallica albums? yeah. If metallica can do it, five times in a row no less, then I'm sure Ozzy could top himself too on the craptastic scale.
on alighter note, reminiscing about the good ol days...

"gotta be honest, im not at all looking forward to a new ozzy album. zakk doesnt try anymore. i fear worse than black rain is probable."
Thank god someone else who is outspoken about this. Zakk was (and still is sometimes) one of my favourite guitarists of all time. But the last 4 years (Aside from any acoustic work, that stuff always rocks) have really taken it's toll on my tolerance for pentatonic.

would be indeed cool if slash got the spot
do have to say zakk is one of my heroes and did see he last year with his band in holland
but his guitar play is not changing at all still the same afhter all the years nothing new its getting old
but still he kicks as
on black rain he rocks but the rest of the album sucks
but you never know ozzy he will make a kicks a$$ album and will be back to the top
so why not bring jake e lee back

I think Zakk's just burned out. He's been doing all the BLS and Ozzy stuff the same time, and thats just too much + I agree with Wilco that Zakk hasnt offered anything new in ages. Its just the same old same old. On the other hand I'd say Zakk's still the right man for Ozzy. To me Slash's sound and playing is just too mellow and laidback for Ozzy. He needs a kickass guy and thats Zakk

Why not Slash AND Zakk? fi the two of them could somehow push their ego's back, and then push it back behind Ozzy's ego, a collaborative guitar effort between the two of them could be interesting. i would love to see Slash put a spin on Zakk's stuff, and i would kill to see 1000 pinch harmonics added to a song written by slash. lol
Now Playing: Slayer- Black serenade
