Shadows Fall to Play on Ozzfest
Massachusetts based Shadows Fall have been confirmed to perform on the second stage of this year's installment of the rock and roll summer camp known as Ozzfest. The jaunt is tentatively scheduled to kick off June 28th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in San Antonio, TX and will run through the end of August.
Comments frontman Brian Fair, "We are honored to tour with one our favorite artists of all time, Ozzy Osbourne. To be sharing the side stage with some of the best up and coming heavy acts out there is beyond exciting. This is going to be one of the best years the Ozzfest has ever seen. Expect us to pull out all the stops."
On the eve of headline tours in Japan and the UK, the band have also just announced another North American leg to their worldwide tour in support of their critically acclaimed new release, The Art Of Balance. All dates include support from Shai Hulud and Unearth (who join the tour March 15th in Austin, TX) with rotating support from Blood Has Been Shed and Cephalic Carnage. The tour will last for 4 weeks and includes a stop in Austin, TX during the South By Southwest Music Festival, as part of Strhessfest a celebration of music and art, presented by cult artist Derek Hess. A European tour with Soilwork and Children Of Bodom will follow in April.
The Art Of Balance continues to receive worldwide praise and recognition, garnering the ever-elusive perfect five "K" review in the UK weekly rock publication Kerrang! who noted, "This is new metal - and not a moment too soon!"
In the meantime, look for the Zach Merck (Converge, Atreyu) directed video for "Destroyer Of Senses" to make its debut soon.
