this is actually the SECOND album with this lineup since dehumanizer. let's not forget live at radio city music hall! the new song "bible black" kicks ass! dio has written and sung more of his brilliant fantasy lyrics, and the rest of the band is lean and mean. i am getting the new cd the morning it comes out!

Heavy Metal Pioneers Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler & Vinny Appice HEAVEN & HELL newest up & coming release "The Devil You Know" sounds mighty "spellbinding" "bold" & "Heavy epic" for sure another winner from these awesome legendary musicians who magic vibe individually & collectively (BLACK SABBATH/DIO and HEAVEN & HELL) will always be embedded in Music History. Dio's phrasing of lyric's is both haunting & mystic: his a magic Dragon Wizard to me very clever with words/there're his sword if you will and powerful music grindgripper very strong heartpulse from all four legendary music artists that make up this band...'Master guitarist/musician Mr. Tony Iommi choose his music partners well. Awesome sound & look forward to HEAVEN & HELL "The Devil You Know" new album/Cd release: that album art work cover is wicked, way out there! Scary.

I'm not a huge fan of Dio's vocal delivery, but I still like it. Musically, I like the song a lot and I think it's pretty clear that they could make good, compelling music with Ozzy as well. Even Ozzy-era Sabbath had some lackluster releases in the later period, so I don't think they are in danger of destroying their legacy or anything.

methodist hymn? lol! i would think on this site, heaven and hell is preaching to the converted. anyways, it should all be in good fun. i really doubt anyone truly wants the devil ripping their souls apart.
i totally disagree that "live at radio city music hall" is an insignificant release. it was a strong performance on an important album.
now listening to: cannibal corpse "evisceration plague"

Classic Sabbath!!! No matter what Ozzy says.. this is Black Sabbath... or at least Dio -era Black Sabbath... and they do what they know how to do best... no band can compare to them, no matter how many years have passed since they played together for the first time.. from the acoustic intro, through Dio's vocal melodies and Geezer's pounding bass to the ripping solo, old they may be... but extraordinarily fit!! No Sabbath fan will be complete without it!!!
