Riot Breaks Out At Iron Maiden Concert

ColombiaReports.com reports:
The concert of British heavy metal group IRON MAIDEN in Bogotá, Saturday (March 7th), became the scene of heavy unrest and riots.
Trouble started when a group of fans climbed the fence that seperated the VIP space from the general public, and reportedly managed to get as close as 30 meters from the stage.
Later on, those that hadn't conquered a ticket began causing troubles in the area around the Parque Simón Bolivar, where the concert was held.
A large group of heavy metal fans clashed with police forces and broke into private areas. Some were in fact arrested and taken away. However, a camera crew of City TV registered how arrested troublemakers managed to escape and run away.
Certainly, the troubles will spark a local debate as to whether Bogotá should host another heavy metal concert in years to come.

Wow! What a riot.
Maybe Iron maiden should have hired me and my crew again. I was security manager for the "Monsters of Rock" tour in Schweinfurt, Germany in 1988. Myself and a crew of off duty US military policemen kept everything under control after banging a few heads! It was a two day festival, culminating with Maiden promoting the "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" album. WOW! Awesome concert! What a party that was!!!
