Not the most thought-provoking video but I love the song and I'm eagerly awaiting Wrath (I don't download).

post 1, rest of the albums vocals are astounding. Sadly (but awesomely?) this is the worst song on the album.

I swear the album is very very good. Like I said before, it's more raw than Sacrament and more brutal, they went for less technical (still is but a little bit less). As far as I am concerned, the only disappointment is the drums. They are not at the front at all and it's not as brilliant as the other albums...all in all, a must for LOG fans...

^this song, In your words, and Contractor, are the only songs that asound like pantera on the album. It throws you off because they're the first 3 songs on the album(besides passing, but intro's dont count lol). the rest is completely different.

So far, I ranked LoG's albums in my head after listening to Wrath alot:
Ashes of the Wake
As the Palaces Burn
New American Gospel
Wrath
Burn the Priest
A huge empty space...
another empty spot...
some riffs they made up in high school...
if they put out a covers album, it would go here...
and then Sacrament...

I like, kind of reminds me of Pantera somewhat, nevertheless I will pick this album up and hope for the best!

BTW, Randy only looks like a twat with his new hairdo because he's such a skinny motherfuker!

I hear the Pantera influence in alot of what they do, but Hell, I love Pantera so for me it's a good thing :) Alot of people have b****ed about Randy's vocals, but I think he's got a great growl. Mark Morton's solo was kickass. He and Willie Adler are one of my favorite guitar duo's in metal right now. Hell all these guys are really good at their craft. I have alot of respect for John Campbell's bass playing. He and Chris Adler are a tight f***ing rhythm section. And Chris is one of the best drummers in music as far as I'm concerned. Sorry to seem like such a fanboy. I'm actuasly not, just really dig this band.

Netro-I heartily agree with you. The solo was classic-rock/hard rock as hell! I'm gonna get Wrath.

Am I the only one who actually liked Sacrament? I can understand and respect that the glossy production definitely turned some people off, but the "Pantera rip-off" (Post 10) argument is BS and rather irritating. Aside from Redneck, the whole album was very dark-sounding and had a huge emphasis on atmosphere, which is why it's my favorite LoG record.

No you're not the only one, Viking. I do hear Pantera influence, but not rip-off, and it's not overpowering to my ears. With that said, and not having Wrath yet, my LoG album rankings are:

Palaces
Sacrament
Wake
NAG
Burn the Priest

Album is great as a whole, Randy's vocals are even better. But like F.A.N. has said before, the only real let down is that Chris seems to have dumbed down his drumming on this album. Really basic, or at least for him.

(Guitar Work on "Grace" is very groovy.)
