No doubt we'll hear excuses about the economy as why there's no Ozzfest as well.

Deathbringer- Exactly! Ozzfest is as dead as Dillinger. Metal Masters and Mayhem tour officially put the nails on the Ozzfest coffin. I knew there was no chance of Ozzfest this year. While Kevin Lyman was booking Manson and Slayer for this summer's Mayhem tour, Ozzy was busy filing his new "variety show." We all can blatantly see where Ozzy's priorities are!

Ozzy's proirites are to do what his wife wants or else... sh** have you ever had a demanding girlfriend? Multiply by a million & you get sharon.

Black Rain was one of Ozzys best cds track for track so i'm pretty happy that he is recording

While I am a huge Ozzy fan and looking forward to some new ozzy material,I kinda hope Ozzfest is done for,I mean I went twice and it was fun and all but for the prices you are paying for Ozzfest to only get a handful of bands you like anymore isnt worth it.

well as old as ozzy is he should probobly try not to break a hip. i mean as long as he's been puttin out stuff Some of it had to suck i mean not everything can be a diary of the madman or a no rest for the wicked. but as far as ozzfest goes? ive never been and last year it was about 10 min away from my house and i thought it sounded like a waste of time. what did i consider a better use of time than going to ozzfest? sitting in my backyard drinking a beer and getting high with my wife and dog. that was more appealing than last years ozzfest. but who knows maybe he'll pull something fantastic out of his ass. and those cell phone commercials sicken me there all making fun of his accent and disrespecting one of the Founders of metal. i mean in black sabbath of 1968 was Lamb of God of today...it just sucks his stuff started getting to overproduced over the years

it's good to know ozzy is spending his time productively making a new album to round out the decade. ozzfest would only be a handful of shows anyways, and most people are too high there to remember it. a new album is a lasting statement. i hope it lives up to ozzmosis. ozzmosis was his darkest and most brilliant album since the sabbath days.

ozzmosis had some ok songs on it but it sounded way to overproduced to me its like they took the wylde out of zakk wylde. diary of a madman in my opinion so much darker of an album. i mean S.A.T.O and The Title track are so heavy and you cant kill rock and roll is so amazing. tommorow was a good cut from ozzmosis and perry mason was O.K. but the rest is BLah

I just dont understand how people can complain about the line-up for the free ozzfest.

Nile
3 Inches of Blood
Devildriver
Ankla
Behemoth
Lamb of God
Daath
chtonic
Static-X
hatebreed
Lordi
Black Tide

I can understand the last four bands maybe, and I personally dont like chthonic, but a lot of black and death metallers seem to.

the rest of the line-up is either the last vanguard of metal right before this current generation's, or recent upstarts that have been credited with bringing back metal, or at least creating respectable metal that sells decently.

What was SOOO horrible about that tour, as opposed to the 5 or six Ozzfest's that had nu-metal and metalcore line-ups galore? I just dont get what everyone is b****ing about. that tour was awesome.

Oh, and f*** Sharon.

The strange feeling of Deja Vu is coming over me. F**K IT! i put ozzfest to rest last year with all of the hype it received to find out it was only one show in Texas. There would need to be a really serious line up if it ever did return to get any money from my pocket. The Mayhem line-up this year is incredible and hopefully Summer Slaughter will back through. Until then.........
