Finnish metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM will team up with Florida death metal legends CANNIBAL CORPSE for a European tour that is scheduled to kick off tonight (Friday, January 30) in Berlin, Germany.
CHILDREN OF BODOM bassist Henkka Seppälä (a.k.a. Henkka T. Blacksmith) has posted the following update on his band's web site:
"The tour starts tomorrow. We will play Berlin first and then do some German dates before we start going south. Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Italy...
"We are excited about playing with CANNIBAL CORPSE. 'Eaten Back to Life' was one the first metal albums I bought. It impressed me. I saw them live in Helsinki couple of years ago and it was great. It feels weird playing after this legendary act. I admit it. And I m sure many people think it's wrong. I do hope that CANNIBAL fans will show up anyway to see the shows.
"We haven't headlined Europe since 'Are You Dead Yet?' tour, and it's been too long. Usually we've played also Spain, and especially Barcelona has been always awesome for us. This tour won't go to Spain, and I think it's sad, but I do hope we get to play in Spain in summer later on!! So we will play many places in Europe, and then end this thing in Finland, first Helsinki and then Seinäjoki."

yeah i wouldnt say alexhi or kirk suck, however, im with bristowe with the fact that i prefer bodom's first 3 albums over the last 3. in fact i thought blooddrunk was a piece of sh**. also if you've noticed, alexhi's solos all sound the same more or less. he does the same few tricks and after FTR it got old. kalmah owns bodom

"Wow bristowe you are an idiot. Kirk Hammet is still as big of a badass as he ever was at solo's."
Coming from the guy who believes All Shall Perish has any minuscule amount of interesting material to bring to the table. Kirk Hammet was good on four albums. I'm sure you can figure that out. If you can't, gtfo. gg.

Hey, if you can't run around bare-chestedly slurring indecipherable messages as a metal fan there's something wrong with the way we're doing things!
No agreed, Kirk will always be my favorite solo writer/lead guitarist but the last album was pretty boring solo wise. But I guess the production killed his parts too.

I'm going to see them in Chicago, and you guys are ridiculous. Alexi Laiho has 'Kirk Hammett syndrome'? First off, Alexi Laiho is a f***ing god at guitar, and keep in mind he is vocals when he plays too. And second, Kirk Hammett doesn't suck at guitar.. he's amazing just like Alexi, and Roope, but the new Metallica CD's don't have as much shredding as the older ones, so it's not as obvious as before. So all of you who are trying to minimize COB/Hammett or anything related, f*** off.

You are more than validated in liking a band no matter who else likes or dislikes them. If that's how he feels, oh well, I'm sure you can find the strength to carry on despite it. They seem to be doing fine without an internet defense league. Opinions on bands aren't personal attacks. Don't degrade yourself by taking it personally.

you're another f*** tard i see posting on here, does bbristowe need an internet defense league? you gonna round one up for him. you're a f***ing pansy a$$ loser and you would probably be a chronic masturbater if not for this site, but who's to say you don't beat off relentlessly anyhow?

^ He's right. Sorry Corky it's the internet. Get used to it.
And for the record, I still think Laiho is an awesome guitar player but I base my first comment mostly after watching his betcha can't play this an other videos of him on youtube (i.e. him and George Lynch)
fyi. post 22 clarifies everything I assumed about you from your previous post (20). Goodnight <3

kirk has always been over-rated for the things he doesnt do well and under appreciated for the things he does brilliantly. he really isnt (and never has been) that technical of a guitar player, but he's always had a great sense of melody, direction and structure for his solos.
unfortunately, though he can still rip it live, his writing skills have gone down the crapper. he doesnt try to expand himself outside of the same pentatonic boxes and relies WAY too much on his goddamn wah-wah. classic case of becoming a star and getting lazy.
as for laiho, his version of vivaldi's four seasons "summer" is badass.
now playing: dark angel - no one answers

I've always been a fan of Kirk, but I found his solo's on the latest album to be incredibly dirivitive of stuff he's already done. While they weren't great I was happy to see him putting them out again. Credit where it's due and all. I am fairly new to Alexi but have found him to be pretty talented. I'll have to check that Vivaldi piece out.
