Dragonforce Announces Far East Tour

In other Dragonforce news, the band recently announced a tour of the Far East will take place starting in March 2009. This will be the Grammy-nominated band's second visit to the region, the first being a completely sold out "Inhuman Rampage" tour in 2007.

“I honestly always knew we would have a good shot at success in the Far East, the people there like a good show and appreciate good music. Many bands don’t pay enough attention to the various countries in that area of the world and I should know because Hong Kong is my homeland," said Dragonforce guitarist Herman Li. "This time around we are adding other countries as well. Obviously I’m looking forward to playing Hong Kong, but we’ll put on a great show for all the fans," he added.

So far, the Ultra Beatdown Japan Tour 2009 shows have been confirmed with All That Remains providing support:

March 26 - Zepp - Fukuoka, Japan
March 27 - Zepp - Osaka, Japan
March 30 - Zepp - Tokyo, Japan
March 31 - Zepp - Nagoya, Japan
April 2 - Zepp - Sendai, Japan
April 4 - Zepp - Sapporo, Japan

The following dates have been nailed down, and rumor has it Dark Tranquillity might be also on the bill:

April 6 - GC Yu Gong Yi Shan Live House - Beijing, China
April 7 - Autorium, 3/f Hitec, Kowloon Bay - Hong Kong, Hong Kong
April 9 - Sword Lake Youth Activity Center - Taipei, Taiwan
April 10 - Thunderdome Complex - Bangkok, Thailand
April 11 - D’Marquee, Downtown East - Singapore, Singapore
