Taiwanese black metal act Chthonic recently visited Dharamsala, India where they met the spiritual and political leader the Dalai Lama. He bestowed blessings upon the band for their work to free Tibet. Tibet has been under military from the Chinese government since the Chinese government declared its sovereignty. I knew Chthonic had more depth to them.

I saw them on a separate tour with Nile. I also talked to the bassist about Black Metal after the show.

Yo is Cthonic worth buying? Also any thoughts on Krisiun and Rotting Christ, I'm thinking of getting some, but don't know what releases would be the better ones.

I already have a wide range of black metal, but have heard good things about these bands

I reviewed one of Chthonic's releases. I liked it much better than Sediq Bale. Check the reviews/band section.

Irish -- Krisiun and Rotting Christ are both great bands too, in my opinion. I only have one release from each (Krisiun's "AssassiNation" and Rotting Christ's "Thy Mighty Contract"), but I think both are excellent CDs, as long as you don't mind RC's broken English. Personally, I think Krisiun is better, though.

Now playing: Warbringer - "Dread Command"
Also, buy Warbringer's CD if you don't already have it, lol.
