Burn Halo Sets Release Date For Self-Titled Debut Album, Announces More Tour Dates

Burn Halo, featuring former Eighteen Visions singer/songwriter, will be releasing their self-titled debut March 10 on Rawkhead Records (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group).
The album’s first single, “Dirty Little Girl,” which features a guest appearance by Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates, is already getting spins on radio stations around the country, and is in regular rotation on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s “Octane” station. A video for the track was recently shot in at the Slide Bar in Orange County, CA with Nate Weaver (Against Me!, Taking Back Sunday) at the director’s helm, and will hit the TV and Internet airwaves within the coming weeks.
Anyone who was watching the Dallas Cowboys/Baltimore Ravens football game on the NFL Network on Saturday, December 20 might have heard another song from the album, “Our House,” during the broadcast. The track will also be heard during a recap of the college football season for “College Football Now” on the NFL Network, which will air this week and weekend, and will be streamed simultaneously on the station’s website. Fans should check local listings for details.
Never losing momentum after the break-up, Hart landed a label deal with Island/Def Jam and began working almost immediately with songwriter Zac Maloy on what would eventually become BURN HALO’s debut album. Between May and October of 2007, Hart made week-long treks to Tulsa, OK to write and demo with Maloy. “I knew that I wanted a clear-cut rock ‘n’ roll band, which is something I had not had in the past,” Hart says of the music. “My vision and my brand of rock ‘n’ roll without having to compromise on any of the songs or any of the material. I wanted to make a very straightforward rock album, something that had commercial appeal, but also something that had a classic, vintage mid-‘80s throwback vibe to it.”
Hart recorded the album from October to November of 2007 with Maloy as producer, laying down the tracks with an army of skilled studio musicians, including Nickelback drummer Daniel Adair, former Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, guitarist Neil Tiemann (who now tours with “American Idol” winner David Cook), and Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates (who appears on the “Dirty Little Girl” and “Anejo”).
In the studio, Maloy was particularly helpful in getting the best possible vocal performance out of Hart. As he explains, “I really felt like he was able to grasp what I wanted to do and where I wanted to take this. From a producer standpoint I feel like he really knocked it out of the park. As a vocalist he was able to bring a lot out of me instead of having me go through the motions and just get the part right, emoting a little more than I have in the past. He was really able to pull a lot of character out of my voice.”
“I think this is a real statement album for me,” Hart continues. “Anyone who is familiar with me and my past is going to be able to get this record. They’re going to understand why I made this record and that this is the record I’ve been wanting to make.”
After the album was completed in early 2008, Island/Def Jam elected not to release it, leaving Hart with the tough job of finding a new home for his project. Nothing felt quite right, though, so BURN HALO’s manager Bret Bair formed his own label Rawkhead Rekords and partnered with Warner Music Group to release the record. Hart spent much of 2008 finalizing the line-up of his touring band--which he hopes will help write and record BURN HALO’s next albums--with Aaron Boheler on bass, Joey Sin on lead guitar, Allen Wheeler on rhythm guitar, and Ryan Folden on drums.
BURN HALO’s new ensemble has already been racking up tour dates with bands such as Avenged Sevenfold and their next jaunt will be with Escape The Fate and Black Tide starting February 5 in Pomona, CA. A summer tour is already in the works and should be announced in the coming weeks.

I'm not going to talk about the weather here because that just wouldn't be right. Is the snow there holding you up as far as work goes? Iowa was on the news yesterday and they said they are closing a lot of roads there pending the next wave of snow.

While I know how things are lately for folks money-wise, the law is not on his side here. With no form of consent to a change in terms he owes you that money fair and square. He knows. That's why he's cutting the check. At least he realizes he didnt pull the wool over your eyes and is doing the right thing. But damn that would piss me off.

Yes indeed, the law is on my side...!! I was smart enough to make copies of all paperwork having to do with the loads I hauled and my expenses etc....
Now, for a funny update to the story.... just a matter of moments ago, the boss calls and asks me if I can bring out my logbooks and paperwork....??
Seems that he is being audited starting today, and they are going back 18 mnths into his records....
Not only does this guy pay his workers in cash... he does no background checks or pre-employment drug tests on anyone..... so it seems that he is going to be battling state and federal problems both :-(
Glad I already have another job lined up ..!!

Got my hands on "Max Payne" and the new "Hulk Vs." animated DVDs. Haven't watched Max yet, but I will divulge that there is a ton of blood on the Hulk Vs. Wolverine. I think I liked Hulk Vs. Thor a little better though. Very cool story. Plus Thor is one of my all time favorite heroes.

^nah, if it wasnt for the fact that I just try and get completely sh**-faced everytime i drink, I would go for the glass approach. I think it makes it taste better like that for one thing, and it helps to be able to enjoy some "feigned cicility" after a long day of bullsh** lol
I'm actually starting to enjoy the taste of just one or two beers at the end of the day, I guess it has something to do with the ten-hour work days. :p When I mentioned that to my friend, he laughed and said I should just go ahead and get married and settle down and buy a pickup truck, because I sounded like his dad lol

Myself, have found a new love for behemoth and the faceless and Hate Eternal, so I guess I've kindof strayed from my prog-death obsession and moved on back to checking out all the super-excellent "normal" death metal bands I've been neglecting.
I evenbought the only medium behemoth t-shirt theyhad left in Hot Topic...and it makes me happy because I can be walking around and people have no idea why i have a double-headed eagle-snake demon on the back of my shirt lol

^I highly reccomend "At Odds With God" to you Kali. They are a local balck/death metal band down here. i saw them live and they were epic. Not to mention the music was good too haha
they have a female singer too, and she pulls of some fierce vocals, far better than that Angela wahtsherface from Arch enemy lol. I took a picture with her and hung out for a bit after the show, and she was cool as hell. REEEAAALLLY hates god, but a nice lady overall.

Nope, not in a theater.... I watch movies online from a couple different websites.... Alot of people take recorders into the theater and then download em on the net.... so guys like me can see em without having to spend an arm and a leg at a theater or wait months to rent em...
I watched the new Clint Eastwood movie "Gran Torino" a month ago.... and its just getting into theaters over the last couple weeks..!!

Godlike- So one thumb to the side? Not bad. I actually like short movies. Only in the past ten years or so has it been mandatory for a movie to be 120+ minutes. I think they used to edit a lot more footage but now they keep a lot crap in just to keep it long.

I hear you, man. But after 10 years in Detroit I don't care if I ever see another city again. To be honest I've always kinda felt like that though. Just prefer mountains and trees to buildings and pollution. Although I tend to miss the convenience of the city at times. Still, I make do.

Netromancer- I know personally that for me while I am young and ready to grab the bull by the horns more poplulated areas seem ideal but I can see myself getting into my forties and wanting to return to a simpler, slower paced area.
BTP- Damn, LA to Northern Washington? That must be tough. You went from being to able to ANYTHIING conceivable to...well, obviously you know. Hopefully you at least have forests, those are cool.

It is true. My only complaint is how hard it is to get a band started in rural areas. But hell, at 25 I was done with the city. Even as a kid I think there was just something about the upstate NY area that I grew up in that always appealed to me. Everything seemed like an adventure I suppose, sometimes even just going to the store. I definately miss snow. I know alot of you are thinking I'm crazy cause of how it's been this year, but I enjoy that climate.

Netromancer- It is funny, I grew up in a little town of about 15,000 people and HATED it so when I turned 18 moved to an area with 3.5 million people. Having lived in both kinds of areas, there are definately pros and cons to both. All I know is that when I own a home I would much rather prefer a house on an acre lot opposed to a condo with paper thin walls that I can hear the neighbor's moans when they are bonin'.

Tell me about it. Having spent the last 3 years in townhouses I have to say I'm definately not happy with it. My neighbor is a great guy and he tries not to disturb the peace, but he listens to rap and what passes for Rn'B these days. No matter what he does the bass thumps my living room. I'm sure my music is no picnic for him either. We usually just make sure it's after Noon and before 8pm.

I don't hunt myself but I come from a hunting family. Mostly bow or black powder. I actually am a fairly good shot, got my first bow at age 11. Taught archery in the summers when I worked with kids. If I still lived at home I probably would hunt. Venison is great and can save a family a ton on groceries for a couple seasons. I actually prefer it to the store-bought, hormone laden, preservative ridden stuff we all buy.

In Southern California 15,000 people is considered a rural town, borderline hick status to the snobs in LA, which is kind of disturbing. Was Liam Niason the guy who played Ra's Al Ghul, among other roles? He is a great actor so I probably will check out Taken. I am just debating Unborn or Gran Tarismo for tomorrow night.....
Netromancer- That is way cool. My grandfather was rasied in Pennsylvania. I love his hunting stories and I also appreciate how serious they take it in those areas. I would be a happy man if I never had to go to another overcrowded grocery store again.

But then again, in third or fourth apartment comlex that i lived in the neighbors across the Hall were strippers and WAY into speed. so you can imagine the sounds from that room. Hey BlindGreed1 - well that depends on your definition of ok is haha but I'm fine, I've been on some low dose chemo for a health issue that came up a year ago. You just gotta get up each morning and make the most of life even if you don't feel the best.

Cynic: Chemo is no joy ride regardless of the dose brother. Have the doses been low enough to avoid any red cell transfusions or are you taking a shot from time to time to keep the ole horns up? And yes, we've all got to make the most out of what we have in the moment. Words to live by.

Doses have been pretty low I haven't had any problems - the only thing it can really upset is my liver so that's why I'm off the booze. Horns stay up no matter the mood! In fact, as with most people days when I feel bad is when metal is the best medicine - too bad people who talk down about metal don't understand that. I made enough dough for the spousal unit to get a haircut. She was pleased. Tomorrow night, I should make enough to get the oil in the car done.
Well, Uncle Sammy saw fit to give this poor old cracker a raise. It's amazing what $150 a pay period can do. Thanks to the spousal units fiscal conservatism, we will be back on thrack by the middle of February.

JSIN- What's up? I don't believe I have introduced myself to you yet. I been posting here a couple months but have known BlindGreed for maybe a year or so through the internet. From what I understand you are quite the world traveler. Maybe you can answer a question I have about criminal records and how affect entrance into certain countries. When I was a juvenile I was convicted of a felony for strong armed robery but did complete a deferred entry of judgment program. Since I have turned 18 I have only been convicted of a hit and run, possession of weed, and a DUI. Do you think my past history could potentially restrict me from some nations? Hopefully you can shed some light for me, if not it is all good.

I would hate to think my world travel opportunities would be limited to mistakes I made as a teenager (I was 19 the last time I got arrested) but hey I got no one to blame but myself. I did mean the Netherlands, and you did guess correctly I want to check out Amsterdam. I may be mistaken, but isn't Holland a region of the Netherlands? Bruno, Germany is a great country. We spent 3 years there and would love to go back. Once you are in, you're good, because of the open borders on the west. Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, and The Netherlands have open borders are well within traveling distance of each other. If you get to Belgium, you gotta hit up Brugge, pronounced Brooge. It's not a very big city, but is very beautiful.
Luxembourg is very small, but is filled with really cool people, and some of the hottest women I've ever seen. Luxembourg city is a pretty nice place. Driving is not bad as far as the signs, as they have them in English also. The thing to get used to are the roundabouts.
Southern Germany is the most beuatiful place I have ever been to, and it's just a short drive to Austria. France has beautiful scenery, but other than that, it's just kinda, meh. Spain was OK. The beaches are topless and the water, even in July are frigid. Some guys I knew went o Australia, and said it was F-in sweet. I would love to go to NZ.

f***in damnit. since its florida, its not really cold at all, bu tit is nippy, and windy, and I work at a carwash, with flying ice-chilled water everywhere, so...f***in damnit it's cold.
oh, and mhd, I'm the guy who was in the walk with me in hell dvd. They caught me while i was waiting in f***in line. And I think I found myself in a couple of the giant pits they videotaped for the Ozzfest section, but I'm not sure, since my tv does not have zoom capabilities lol then again, I'm pretty sure it's me, because for some reason, even though you would think otherwise, I never see more than like 5 other dudes with long blond hair at these big concerts. Every other blond guy just wants to be a skinhead or they dye their hair black, sooo... I'm a minority lol
On another note, I'm too f***in lazy to learn a language all the way. i've learned French and Spanish up tot the point that i can listen in on other people's conversations, but I cant think fast enough in the language to even conversate with a retarted 7-year old in that language. it would be the same thing If I tried to learn gobbledegook. Oh, and one more thing: how do you say "sh**head" in gobbledegook Jsin? I kindof have this weird obsession with collecting the word in different languages. Indulge me perhaps?

yeah, the glorious burden is fantastic - especially the ghettysburgh trilogy. one of my favorite IE albums (and for a brief while one of my fave albums period). its also the ripper's best studio performance to date, hands down. i've got the album cover shirt, which (the art) in itself is worth buying the record.

Blindgreed: pepper spray usually does the job completely. Thankfully, I've only had to use it a couple of times...
Netromancer, be sure to have LOTS of hot soup. It really helps, and there's a lot of easy soups to make that are really good. Like the one I'm having right now is chickpeas and chicken broth. All I did was get a can of chickpeas, drain it, get a bouillon (or however it's spelled) cube, 2 cups of water, and then you put that together in a pot with the stove on high heat and let it boil, and then you're done :)

Because...guys are stupid. no matter how high the GPA, or IQ, Or how many scholarships they have, they are all stupid. I know, I'm one of em. the only time I've ever had a great, fantastic relationship that I look back fondly to this day, was when agirl asked me for my number, and then told me to ask her out. The last girl I went out with because I just thought she was hot to trot; that relationship is still biting me in the a$$ to this day. 2 years later. and probabaly longer. :P
If you like a guy, if you think he's a good one, my advice is try and nab him first, dont wait for him to go after you. You might be batting eyes at him, but he's probably staring at the girl with the thong bending over behind you. We are dumb beasts, the lot of us, i swear.

Sluts are fine. The name is thrown around pretty casually toward girls who might not fit the norm. They are usually just girls who don't think they need an excuse to act the same way guys do or aren't afraid to say they enjoy the same stuff as guys. I've known girls who were called sluts, and I have to say the reality is usually very different from the reputation. Then I've known some REAL sluts, and I find them to be pretty rare. And those are the ones to avoid.

Hey FAN back there at post 588, thats not necessarily true, unless I'm the a$$hole haha. My girlfriend of two years (fvckin scary long time haha) is perfect for me, but she has like 4 different admirers who hound her while I'm outta d country, or just not in the area, the basturds.
Oh yeah saw All that remains and the haunted in Tuesday - Sweet show. The haunted were awesome as were the support act Anterior, although vocals were kinda annoying from Dolving - they had an echo effect on that sounded pretty crap at times. But ATR - fvck me sideways, Phil Labonte is awesome. I love his vocal style and he has sh**loads of energy and a great rapport with the crowd. Really made my night. Partly due to the fact one of the prettiest girls in the pit was too warm so she took her top off and was only wearing a very small bra. NIIIICE.

All I have to say is that a little white lie used to protect one's ego hurts no one. Especially in a scenario which godlike explained.lol. As far as i'm concerned: No harm... No foul. It sounds to me though that FAN has surpassed the quantity stage and has graduated to the quality stage, so do what you think is best buddy.

That is because the first 90 days is the trial period of dating. In that span of time you find out a lot of the other person and decide if the connection is worth developing further or if you if you want to cut your losses and move on. After approximately 100 days it is sh**e or get off the pot time, so to speak.

Ive been in 41 out of the 50 states at one time or another.. but never Canada or Mexico.!

Which states are you missing? Im writing chris a long as letter in ancient nordic runes (smiles) it will take him days to figure out..I was kind enough to translate the alphebet for him so he only has to look up each lrune instead of just handing him a paper full of runes he has no idea what or where they cam from..Fvck Im bored

Jsin - On my upper left arm is a Dragon surrounded by a series of planets and moons.. ( I just added a snapshot of it to Myspace photos...check it out for reference.? )
I'd like to add a wizard on the top of my forearm, who would be forming the same dragon between his hands in a ball of flames... those flames would then wrap around and up the arm and through the existing piece to end with a couple "flickers" of flame running up the side of my neck..!?!

Well, it's not from the most recent modern stuff. I hate the new crap.. a lot of times, all of this extremely abstract stuff is just amateurish. However, Vartan Malakian and Francis have made some good abstract work. My favourite painter is El Greco though. He had a style that was vulgar but with a great sense of beauty. He was kind of like the "rockstar" of painters back in his time, seeing as how his work was quite controversial.

I played the new one. I'ts a total re-haul of the story, though. No sands of time or anything. The cell shading takes some getting used to. Great looking game, but got a bit old after a couple hours. I've played pretty much every Prince of Persia game, have yet to find one as challenging as the very first 2D side-scroller.

The new Bionic Commando is slated for fall of 2009, I believe. Looks sweet. I played the hell out of the original. A re-release of the side-scrolling one is available for download on XBox Live. Used to play every RPG I could get my hands on till they started getting too out there to keep up with. Alot of japanese programmers with stories that don't translate well. Actually haven't found one I like better than Final Fantasy XII. Been playing Web Of Shadows, Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Oblivion might be a FPS (or more technically a first person stabber if you use melee weapons) but it's not multi-player. Completely open ended, but with an amazing storyline. Play however you want. Went full magic myself and became insanely powerful. Honestly one of the best fantasy games I've ever played.

I stopped playing video games after high school but FFVII pretty much changed my life. Sounds pretty nerdy, but on an artistic level I think that's up there with any great truly book or story which is what anyone who dismisses video games looses out on. The music is pretty amazing too, I listen to the soundtrack quite a lot.

As far as Im concerned... the only appealing things about Canada (other than the friendly people)
would be the incredible scenery, hunting an fishing....and of course, I completely agree with the marijuana laws ;-)

The people are cool (no pun intended with that and the weather), but the government is a farce that isn't, or shall I say wasn't, as entertaining as the farce that was the American government. Ooooh, Stephen Harper dresses like a cowboy for a conference... BUT no one cares about Canadian politics! lol. The scenery is good, even in this polluted city. My city has 121 waterfalls! I guess it's not good though, since I'm deathly afraid of sea/lake creatures, hahaha. It's still nice to look at though. Back in Niagara, everything ruled. If you ever go to Canada, make sure it's to Niagara, Ontario, or Toronto, Ontario, or Montreal, Quebec. DO NOT go to Alberta. Too much of a "cowboy" thing going on (hey, our leader Stephen was from there!)

I am with both of you on the gaming thing. The only system I feel like I miss and would like to own again is a Super Nintendo. That system was the sh** and back then video games were video games, not thousand-hour virtual movies. Donkey Kong, Super Mario, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Mega Man, etc are all I need.
