f*** it, George does nothing for me these days, he's one monotonous vocalist if I ever heard one!
Their new sh** sounds exactly how it did when Tomb of the Mutilated was released... Get over yourselves, you have nothing new to add to the gore obssessed fa**ots out there!!!

I thought twas a good song, but I hope the rest of the album is faster, it just didn't have the intensity I wanted, but still good. And VOTD - I just can't get into the older stuff. I'm always looking for faster, heavier, just more brutal metal, but I can't stand grindcore or straight death metal.

God damn Eric Rutan is one hell of a producer, that was heavy as hell. No doubt the rest of the album will be faster, this is probably the "Death Walking Terror" of the album.
Also VOTD do you even know what you're talking about? TOTM sounds nothing like Kill or Evisceration Plague.

@Cynic - I liked Death Walking Terror, and as I said I can only really listen to Kill and hopefully this new album. Are any of the other older albums in any way like Kill, because I tried tomb of the mutilated, and one other, can't remember just now, and just could not listen to it. Then again that was a while ago... Might be more receptive now...

I'm the same IrishMetal - honestly I haven't really got into any other CC albums apart from TOTM and Kill. Kill is a true standout in CC repoitoire, after all these years to pull that monster out is amazing. You might try "The Wretched Spawn" and "Bloodthirst" apparantly is good (will have to check out myself) but I'd just wait til Evisceration Plague hits!

^In all seriousness, I could only stand to have early cannibal corpse on my playlist for the hilarity and rediculousness of their song titles. I'm with Cynic that "Kill" was a fantastic album though. Suddenly everyone decided to pick up the pace on that album and actuall improve technicality wise.
Before htough, the drummer always sounded stale and repetitive to me, and the guitarists always seemed to me like they were just going for something heavy for the sake of being heavy, and that bores me. Alex Webster though I always thought was wasted talent, but now I guess his band is something to be proud of in the shadow of his insane monkey bass-fingers.
Honestly though, I never could stand Chris Barnes vocals. Neither in CC's early days, nor what he currently sounds like in Six Feet Under. It also didnt help once I learned how to properly do metal vocals. I have like six different voices I use, and the ones he uses are the easiest to do. His cookie-monster growl literally takes no effort. Just focus your lips sort of like a wide straw/tube, almost like you're pouting, and speak in a gutteral voice. No f***in effort whatsoever.
Then again, Corpsegrinder's vocals are kinda easy too, but not AS easy. plus, they sound better anyway lol
I like the new song. Death metal the way it should be. Not fantastic, but solid. Based on this song, I've decided to try and see if I can save enough money to...download the cd for free when it comes out.
Now Playng: Genghis Tron- Laser b****

Also, it seems that you have lost faith in CC since 1996 when they got George and yet your still venting over it 13 years later!! Maybe your the one who needs to get over themselves and let it go!
Maybe you're correct, maybe I am still gutted that they removed Chris Barnes out of the equation, and the fact that they got some b**** to replace him who plays World of Warcraft 10 hours a day.
I've purchased most of the albums that George has released with the rest of CC, but can't stomach his vocals, he sounds like a constipated fa**ot!!!
To the rest of you who can't appreciate CC's earlier releases like The Bleeding or Tomb of the Mutilated, well I imagine it was before your time and you'd rather stay with the current times rather than appreciating their earlier successes... This is fine by me, apart from not appreciating my opinion on their latest release... Enough said!!!
