German power metal act Primal Fear has issued the following update:
"We wish all our supporters, friends, partners & fans a great exciting New Year and yes, of course with a new Primal Fear album 16.6 in May 2009. Holidays? Well, not a lot - Ralf was recording some more parts for the final two songs and we are ready and thrilled to mix the album, starting on January 5th @ the House Of Music studio. We will post some more updates on final songtitles etc. soon!"

Awesome powerhouse Metal band PRIMAL FEAR : Tailblazing Bassist Founder/Leader Mat Sinner has a great lineup of master musicians in his corner (always had) Ralf, Henny-very thrilled/happy Wolter's came back to PF (also in SINNER w/Mat), Randy & new member guitarist/welcome to PF..'Stefan Leiberg PF nuclear high energy guitarist will sorely be "missed" & his shoes certainly are a difficult one to fill 'cause his irreplaceable anyway. All the members of the legendary PRIMAL FEAR are special master musicians and admire each of you: Mat, Ralf, Henny, Randy, the new comer/?name sorry, Stefan (shall be missed! Best of luck w/new endeavors.) & former members Tom & Klaus "all" the made the Heart pulse of PF "click" thunderous with full force energies! You guys solid rock & look forward to PRIMAL FEAR newest album "16.6" to be release this new year 2009 sounds like an engine formula. cheers!

Hmm...it's good to hear that they're almost done with the album. Out of some old material that I've heard from them, some songs are good, but there are better power metal bands out there. However, I would love to listen to a new track or two; I want to hear the input from the guest musicians.
