Florida natives, Hate Eternal has posted the following message online:

"Hate Eternal have been forced to drop off the ongoing JOB FOR A COWBOY North American tour due an infection in Erik Rutan's hand and complications in his kidney. Erik was admitted to an Iowa City hospital on the early morning of November 23rd and has remained under doctor's supervision since.

"The infection has caused concern for the doctors, but the major concern of the doctor's is, Erik's kidney. Erik has had a couple of procedures done on his kidney. Erik will not be able to continue the tour, but he is expected to make a full recovery. He is expected to be released sometime next week and then will seek further treatment at home in Florida.

"Hate Eternal would like thank to everyone on the tour for their understanding of the situation. Hate Eternal would also like to thank all the fans who have expressed concern for Erik's health."

I got to see this tour when it first started on the 15th, i was really p***ed off that the emo kids who showed up just to be seen had no idea they were watching one of the best metal guitar players of all time. Rutan is f***ing sick! Hate Eternal didn't get much of a crowd reaction which really sucks, these f***ing teenie boppers don't know sh** these days. Too much glam is coming into local metal scenes.

I agree completely with Graveland. I noticed at a local show recently that the scene kids are looking more and more like Motley Crue everyday!

Just walk into a local hot topic. there's pink and yelow all over the place. I mean, the store doesnt have that great a metal rep in the first place, but it's the only place i can buy metal t-shirts, and now i look up in the t-shirt secton, and i see a red and green "Boys like Girls" band shirt next to a black Bald-eagle perched on a pentagram "Slayer" Tee. It's downright ofensive.

I went to a local death metal concert a few months ago,(Hate Eternal and Death are from Florida, so you can imagine what kind of bands were there...) and besides the bunch of actual metalheads there, there were a bunch of giggling scene kids wearing pink t-shirts and suspenders(huh?) and all kinds of ridiculous crap.

I realy hope this guy gets better, regardless of the fact that i love me some Hate Eternal.
