Inferno Fest to Kick off with Super Group

Various members of Dimmu Borgir, Red Harvest, The Kovenant, Blood Red Throne, Mayhem, and Susperia will make up a "once-in-a-lifetime" cover band that will perform at a kick-off party for the 2003 installment of Inferno Festival on Jan. 18 at Rockefeller Music Hall/John Dee in Oslo, Norway. According to the festival's official web site, "about 20 members of [the aforementioned bands] will play some of their favorite songs from the likes of Slayer, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Kiss, Accept and Death." National TV will reportedly be filming the whole kick-off, and it will be recorded and (hopefully) released by Edgerunner Records later in the year.

The 2003 installment of Inferno Festival is scheduled to take place at Rockefeller Music Hall/John Dee on Apr. 17-19. Among the artists scheduled to appear at the event are Immortal, Vader, Children of Bodom and Taake.
