Led Zeppelin Plans Reunion Tour Next Summer With Robert Plant

Led Zeppelin is planning a full tour for next summer, with singer Robert Plant set to rejoin the band, according to reports in The Sun today (September 26).

Despite their massively-successful reunion gig at London's O2 Arena last winter, the band has so far declined to confirm whether they will plan any more shows together.

Initially, it was believed that singer Plant was against a full tour with the band.

However, today's report claims that Plant is now ready to join guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham in rehearsals for a tour set to start next summer.

An unnamed source told the newspaper: "He [Plant] realised he couldn't face the thought of not being involved. The band were over the moon when he told them the news."

I wish it was true... wont build my hopes up just yet. Call me strange, but the SUN was quoted as saying? Hardly the most reliable of sources.

I hope it is true, too. He should back up his bandmates. I would do that, if I were in his shoes.
We shall see.

Great news. We can all agree that the band would not be the same without Plant. It would have been a shame if they went on tour without him. As far as the tour, we will see if it happens. Fingers crossed.

It would be totally awesome, a dream come true, but I'm not getting excited either. If it does happen, the tickets would be outrageous and sell out within seconds!

I won't get my hopes up, but I am pretty sure it will happen. If they do end up touring I can't see it being more then maybe 25-30 venues though.

Glad he is on board to play with them again, but even though I enjoy Led Zeppelin,I can see tickets being through the roof so I would just wait till a dvd came out before I would watch them circa now.

Finally, there's an opportunity to catch one of rock's most influential bands-I grew up listening to LedZeppelin, always loved their songs; If they really care about their fans, they wouldn't be greedy& charge an arm & a leg;they don't really need the money;since they're#3 on the list of most financially successful R&R acts of all time-please,keep your ticket $$ low,the economy is in a tailspin& you guys are already as rich as Croesus-I'll bet my life you'll have Absolutely No Problema selling out in minutes no matter where the venue is.Of course, then there's the ticket brokersAKA legalized'scalpers'-lower than whale vomit.

What's the big deal with reuniting a band with only less than four original members? Led Zeppelin won't be the same without John Bonham, The Who (almost) isn't the same without John Entwistle and Keith Moon, and Black Sabbaith isn't even the same without either Ozzy, Geezer or Bill Ward.
