METALLICA is set to rock the O2 Arena on Monday night but the Indigo2 will open its doors at 2:00 p.m. for a whole day (and night!) of METALLICA-themed entertainment. Set to include Guitar Hero giveaways, a chance to hear "Death Magnetic" in its entirety and DJ sets until the wee hours, including BBC Radio 1 "Rock Show" host Daniel P. Carter.
The METALLICA pre-show will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the after-party will take place the METALLICA performance from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. with river taxis running until 2:00 a.m. Entry will be free for those who are going to the gig and you will need to be over 18 to gain entry.
As an extra special part of the METALLICA pre-show at the Indigo2, Guitar Hero will be giving all of those lucky people with tickets to the O2 show the opportunity to play along to brand new tracks from "Death Magnetic" on Guitar Hero consoles, at a METALLICA gig. There will be one on one Guitar Hero big screen duals hosted by SKUNK ANANSIE axe man Ace as well as picking up a whole bunch of Guitar Hero and METALLICA giveaways, plus the chance to thrash out to rockmongus DJ sets including Dan Carter.

always nice to see a metallica fan... however i get that kind of pitying feeling when i read post 1 like when you see a crazy man in the street...
kinda unfortunate title there db - after all, a lot of metallica-haterz already think they're gay, and the word "intimate" in the title of the latest article on them can't help.

Heard the album.
It's not classic--as expected but far FAR better than ANYTHING since AJFA and Black.
"My Apocalpse" and "Suicide and Redemption (an INSTRUMENTAL!!!)" are GREAT. James misses lyrically here and there but its such a massive improvement over 'St. Anger' and 'Reload'...Vocals are much improved, he hits an Araya vocal style that works really well at times. I'm as happy with it as I was for Christ Illusion and much happier than United Abominations. Lars is excellent. Rob comes through in spades and Kirk sounds better than he has in years.
"Unforgiven III" just sounds like recycled "Fade to Black" "Unforgiven 1" Frankenstien.
Tracks 1,5,8,9 and 10 are good-great....others may grow on me.
Metallica and still birth good music.
