Honestly... of course it's better than St. Anger, anything would be beter than St. Anger, that album is the cornerstone of complete crap for me, although load and reload didn't exactly give me the giggles either...
Disregarding that, I actually like what I hear. I hated it when it started out, but as the song progressed, It actually ended up being kinda ok. I get the feeling that if this album ends up being good, it will still only be on the level of the black album; although I do like what I'm hearing, I don't hear the epicness of MOP-esque era albums in this song. But, then again, how does one judge an entire album on one song? I can wait for it to come out so I can download it off limewire for free, I'll hold most of my judgements till then. :p
Now Playing: That thing called youtube up there^? Ya, That thing, that's what I'm playing.

I agree with f***_A_Name on the fact that you can't judge the whole album on just one song, but that's just something we're gonna have 2 wait on. We can't expect 'old' Metallica 2 come back (that would just be stupid) however we can have high hopes that they won't fall even farther than most people already think they have. I like what I heard, so I'm gettin' the album for sure.

Mmmmmmmmh the sound is still sh** so can't really give you my 2 cents about it except that James voice turned out to be so f***ing gay over the years, it like bluesy, doesn't really fit especially when he does old songs. Doesn't sound angry anymore.
P.S Thank you the solos are back in full force.

Not a huge fan anymore, but it sounds better than anything from "St. Anger".
