Iron Maiden Guitarist, Adrian Smith Has Guitar Stolen

Photo of Iron Maiden

Band Photo: Iron Maiden (?)

IRON MAIDEN's official website has been updated with the following:

"(Guitarist) Adrian Smith's new Jackson guitar was stolen after the show in Athens (Greece) on Saturday night (August 2nd).

Can all Maiden fans please be on the lookout for the guitar.

It will be extremely hard to get rid of as it's the only one in the world.

There will be a reward of a Maiden tour jacket and I'm sure a hand written letter of thanks from Adrian for anyone with information leading to the recovery of the guitar.

Description:

- JACKSON STRAT COL. WHITE ADRIAN SMITH SIGNATURE MODEL, WHITE SCRATCH PLATE
- EBONY FRETBOARD
- ADRIAN SMITH SIGNATURE ON FRONT OF HEADSTOCK
- HUMBUCKER BRIDGE PICK-UP
- TWO SINGLE COIL PICK-UPS
- RECTANGULAR BLACK MOULDED JACKSON GUITAR CASE.

The serial number of the guitar is 8467

If you have any info, please contact fanclub@ironmaiden.com ."

And if one is keeping it then one is going to end up at some point wanting to show it off to a friend. If that friend has ANY ammount of intellegence or morals is going to call the cops! Either way at some point it will surface.

I doubt the person who gives him back his guitar is gonna settle for just a maiden jacket and a letter written to him.

You read my mind, MetallicPunk. Being a Jackson guitar, it's probably worth around 2500-3000dollars. Besides, since it's Adrian Smith signature, just re-paint it and put in the market. Thats it

Sure, he can go ahead n just get another guitar, but what doesn't matter is the guitar, what matters is that the thought of actually stealing (esp. form IRON MAIDEN) would even cross the little f***'s mind: Not to mention even acting upon the idea, that's just cra-Z. And 4 the record, trying to sell it would be dumb.

I'd like to congratulate the man who managed to make it through w/e obstacles he confronted (i.e. security etc) and STEAL his signature. Adrian shouldn't have been so careless with his axe.

I feel kinda odd about the guitar being stolen, but I do give whoever stole it props 4 stealin' it so well. But whoever has it in their hands now is a d***wad n they need 2 hand the guitar over.

I'm kinda confused about post 14, that's a damn good question.
