Metallica's new website, MissionMetallica.com, was launched today only to be shut down a few hours later. However you can still view the trailer that was on the website below. Also included below is a new interview with Metallica's infamous Lars Ulrich in which he gives details regarding the new website, album and tour dates.

The idea of the new MissionMetallica website is like that of bonus CDs which are sometimes included with album, documenting the making of the the new record.

I'll actual be pretty dismayed if they stream the album online before it's released. Albums that I plan to buy... I'd rather buy. Although I love DVDs with extra features so I'll be checking the website. The 3 seconds of new stuff sounded average.
