Raging Speedhorn Breaking Up
British band Raging Speedhorn is calling it quits after roughly ten years together. Here's a statement from the band:
"I'm a little sad to say that after this year, 2008, Raging Speedhorn will be no more. Some of our old friends knew this already but a while ago we decided that after 10 years it is time to move on and do something else, create something new.
"10 years feels like a really long time and we all feel absolutely blessed to have been part of this band. We have travelled the world playing Speedhorn songs, we've toured the US, Japan and Europe numerous times and played just about every shit hole there is to play in our beloved UK!
"With our last record, we really felt like there was nothing left to do. We feel like 'Before the Sea Was Built' is an apt way to sign off.
"The memories of my 10 years in Raging Speedhorn will stay with me forever. They have been both the happiest and most desperate times of my life. Although I'm sure not one of us would change a second of it.
"We've all come a long way from being 19 years old and living in Corby. And now it's time to make the next transistion and move on to pastures new. I'm sure plenty of new projects will arise involving one or two of us.
"We'll be playing our final ever UK shows sometime in the autumn. Thank you for listening."

I heard this band is supposed to be pretty good. I heard one track once, and was quite impressed.
