I spent a weekend in Indianapolis back in 93 orso...a friend had suggested that while I was there,
I should check out a bar called Backstage I think..? the place was f^ckin HUGE...
There was a band playing named Claude B....?? does any of this sound familiar or was it all just my imagination..?

Godlike, I admire your honesty. As far as NP goes I heard them forever ago, but cant remember if I liked them or not! Chances are slim, however. If I cant remember I liked a band and did not keep them around then I most likely thought they were no good. Maybe one of these days I will go and re-check them out?

no there was a bar called backstage on the west side at 34th and Highschool road that place used to have a ton of shows back in the day they supported local music a lot it was a weird bar cause there was an indoor soccer field by it and i used to drink pitchers of beer and watch a free game of soccer lol. Unfortunately that bar is not around anymore. Claude B? Although im not much of a fan of glam metal you might have been thinking of a band called Ma Kelly they were big on that scene along with Schoolboy Crush and Funhouse and Sweet FA back in those days. For me it was metal like Blatherskite, Legion and punk back in those days.

rk, thanks for clearing that up.. Ive shared the story of that bar with several people over the years...
actually I remember seeing the soccer field... seems tho that I remember a bunch of volleyball courts set up on it the night I was there... I remember also seeing a mass of foosball and pool tables too.... as I said, the place seemed HUGE...!!
as for the band....maybe I did have the name messed up.? I remember talking to someone there that said that name...maybe they were referring to the guitar player.. cause it seems we were discussing his insane abilities..
Hell, I had a cassette of the band Funhouse... didnt know they were local to that area though...
I feel so much better now, knowing it was real..haha
