Southern California-based female-fronted metal band IN THIS MOMENT was featured on the March 7 episode of "Talking Metal on Fuse", performing a cover version of PANTERA's "I'm Broken" with hosts Mark Strigl and John Ostronomy. Watch footage of the performance here.
IN THIS MOMENT will play a free, Monster Energy-sponsored concert on Saturday, March 15 at Red 7 (Patio Stage) in Austin, Texas (during the South by Southwest music and media conference). The Monster Energy "day party" will take place between 12:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and will also feature AT ALL COST, among other acts.
IN THIS MOMENT kicked off the New Year with its first morning television performance on Fox-25 TV in Boston, Massachusetts. The appearance featured a live, acoustic rendition of the hit Active Rock single "Beautiful Tragedy" and "Legacy of Odio". Click here to check it out.

With regards to the racism debate that's going on here. Let's be careful about accusing people of being racist or politically correct or whatever. I happen to know for a fact that Kalis isn't a racist since she ranks Nazi rock/metal as the lowest of the low in terms of music especially due to its lyrical context. I think it's just a case of her comment was misinterpreted, though I can see how it would cause offense.

Its not as hard as everybody thinks to stop doing drugs, so after a while ill sober up and move my daughter back in with me....shes doing fine by the way...shes strong, just like me and her mom....

Depends on the drug. If you have something like one of the forms of opiad (opium, heroin, morphine etc.) or some form of cocaine (the white powder, crack, exstacy etc.) or whatever than when you get addicted to it your body develops a need for it, which is why alcoholics go to those AA meetings because the body actually develops a need for the active ingredient. A drug like pot is 100% psychological where the mind thinks it needs the high when it is used habitually. Than there is LSD where addictions are basically non occuring.

Back on topic, (although the divergences make this interesting) I don't care too much for this band personally, just doesn't appeal, but this wasn't too bad. they played pretty true to original form, sounded a lot like Pantera's actually, but I still think it didn't need to be done. At least they stayed away from Walk.

I actually thought it was a good cover, the band played the song well, but the singer really isn't very good. At least they didn't butcher the guitar solo like Fall Out Boy did, hahahaaha!!! I think if they had a dude fronting the band, this song would have actually sounded pretty good. She could prolly annihilate Phil Anselmo if they ever got into a fight, he is one of the biggest p***ies in metal.

That was painful. I mean wow, I am a vocalist and our band has played this and its not easy to sing like Phil but this was not a good cover. I saw them at Ozzfest and they did not impress me at all. Their guitarist never should have tried the solo. In fact they never should have tried this song. Horrible.

What sucks is there isn't a female fronted band with a singer who can shriek, roar, scream and sing perfect clean melody....No girly Maynard Keenans or Mickael Ackerfeldts.....or even Shagrath/Vortex combos.
My struggle is too find a female fronted band who can do black and or death vocals as well as non-operatic clean vox.
Lacuna Coil has succumbed to the nu-metal sickness. No angry female vox.
Arch Enemy is all deathy vox, no clean.
Kittie lack instrumental originality/capability and lyrical depth.
Jucifer is too alty-garagey
Otep, Evanescence and Flyleaf suck
Nightwish make bloody-brilliant compositions but no vocal aggression.
Echoes of Eternity puts modern pop-thrash over crystal clear vox but theres a total lack of vocal aggression from her too.
Tristania's early work would be close but like Therion's female vocals too operatic and zero anger.
Any suggestions?
In This Moment's singer has the right idea but lacks the gift. As seen/heard.

There are more girls in metal acts today filling various instrumental roles than ever...But a metal band with a female voice (clean + death/black etc) shouldn't be as rare a thing as it is....
