70000 Tons of Metal - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Blind Guardian Tour North America

(Press Release) Global chart-topper’s BLIND GUARDIAN will embark on their first-ever North American tour beginning November 15th at the prestigious and now sold-out ProgPower Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. The month-long headlining expedition will be in support of the band’s most successful and critically acclaimed release to date, A Night At The Opera.

A Night At The Opera was released in the spring of 2002, impacting mainstream music sales charts throughout Europe attaining Top 20 entries in Germany (#5), Spain (#8), Greece (#1), Sweden (#10), Italy (#11) and Austria (#17) as well as Top 100 debuts in France, Switzerland and Norway. It was also the band’s strongest first week showing in the U.S., selling close to 3,000 units, placing the album at #70 on Billboard’s New Artist Chart.

The band’s unique symphonic style has been described as “Queen meets Metallica.” Metal Maniacs crowned them “the most significant band since Iron Maiden” and Guitar World has called A Night At The Opera the band's "most symphonic and sonically exhilarating album to date.”

Supporting BLIND GUARDIAN on all dates is Symphony X.
