Sepultura Begin Writing New Album

SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser has issued the following update:
"We started the writing process for the Sepultura new album today in our studio in Sao Paulo. All the equipament was prepared yesterday by our crew and today we tried some ideas for songs. We will follow kind of the same steps we did in our last album, Dante XXI, but this time we will be inspired by the book A Clockwork Orange, first released in 1962 written by Anthony Burgess and it's a movie, a classic, made by Stanley Kubrik. We will write our soundtrack for this story and Burgess' life will be an inspiration also to write the music, lyrics and for the artwork. Today at the studio, really good ideas came up, the vibe is great and the songs are coming in a easy and brutal way."

Look man, I got better things to do than get into an arguement on whether or not another guy that neither of us know can spell "equipment". I can speak Spanish too, doesn't make a person anything special.
On TOPIC however, I'm really looking forward to this album. The idea might seem a little weird but whe you think about it, it's a pretty cool concept that I reckon they could pull off. It'll be interesting to say the least.

Anyone here have Seps latest album? I read some reviews which said it was alright. It amazes me how any band with a thrash guitarist like Kisser isn't writing stellar music but I suppose Max had more to do with Sep than I guessed. Still I'm a big fan of his so hope he keeps on thrashin.

In answer to your questions Txmetalhead, Igor has left Sepultura for good, Soulfly are working on a new album which they'll release and tour for after CC has done a few tours.
And yes I have Seps latest album, it's pretty good. I prefered Roorback but Dante XXI wasn't disapointing.

Instead he was a total jerk. On topic, I saw something saying the Calvera bros were back together. I think it was in one of my Terrorizer mags. Did not say if it was to get Sepultura back together or not. Guess only time will answer all our questions.

The Cavalera brothers are indeed back together but it's not a Sepultura reunion sadly. They have a new band called Cavalera Conspiracy. I heard a few of their songs last night. Absolutely fantastic! Has a distinctive feel to it but has alot of variation in it. Some of it's really thrash and others is like pure hardcore. Really really good.

Cynic -- yeah, i picked up dante XXI out of curiosity. a few songs had a fear factory vibe to them. all the songs are fairly short, the longest clocks in just under 5 min. there some good riffs but way to much stop and start. i'm not a big fan of greens vocal style, so that's a negative for me. it has some cool moments, but overall its boring.
