Mayhem Win Spellman Award
Norwegian black metal legends MAYHEM took home the Spellmann Award in the "Metal" category at the 36th annual installment of the show for their latest album, Ordo Ad Chao. The Spellmann Awards are the Norwegian equivalent of America's Grammy Awards. Ordo Ad Chao entered the Norwegian album charts at #12, the band's highest position ever.
The nominees in the "Metal" category of the Spellmann Awards were: DIMMU BORGIR (In Sorte Diaboli), MAYHEM (Ordo Ad Chao) AUDREY HORNE (Le Fol), and RED HARVEST (A Greater Darkness).
As previously reported, Mayhem will embark on a string of dates with death/thrash metallers DIMENSION F3H this month. Dates are as follows:
