More Details Of Slipknot and Disturbed Tour Revealed

Ray Waddell of Billboard.com reports that the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour, with SLIPKNOT and DISTURBED topping the bill, will play 30 Live Nation amphitheaters in North America during July and August.
Rockstar Mayhem is produced by Warped founder Kevin Lyman, his partner on the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos tour John Reese, CAA's Darryl Eaton, and Jason Garner, Live Nation Chief Executive Officer of North American Music.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is the only other band that has confirmed its participation in the trek.
According to MTV.com, SEVENDUST, MASTODON, DRAGONFORCE, SUICIDE SILENCE and WALLS OF JERICHO are among the groups that are also rumored to be taking part in the Rockstar Mayhem Tour.

yea focus, it is...it reminds of the trendy fuknuts that were overrunning my neighborhood here in charlotte nc last night. right beside my place is the cricket arena, and last night matchbox 20 and allanis morrisette was there...it was a horrible scene around here...everywhere i looked were sheeple everywhere lookin all half yuppie-half trendy rock style...you could smell the fakeness in the air!!!!

Slipknot started me in the world of extreme metal 8 long years ago and respect them for that ONLY. Did I find better? Bet your entire album collection on that my friend! The big reasons we dont have them? Money to start and the fact that I am not sure that there is enough Americans that listen to real underground metal like at Wacken or Inferno. Its alot more in the open in Europe than America. Us that do love, listen to and support the European (and lets not forget Scandinavian metal aswell) are few and far between in the U.S. Which is why I join sites like this to keep up on it and talk to others who listen to the type of underground music I do.

I think with rising popularity of extreme acts on tour with popular metal acts here in the states, our particular genres of metal have a chance to become popular enough through out the nation that should festivals featuring solely (or mostly) extreme acts could work. sh** like Ozzfest and this new Rockstar tour aren't enough. And with Sounds of the Underground rumored to be dead, there's no tour in the States that even attempts to feature extreme acts.

I mean, yeah, the singer has kind of a caveman mentallity (when it comes to lyrics) but I like there CD. To me its just good 'ol metal. By the way, I've been a metal head for about 16 years and all of this sub-catagorizing is confusing the hell out of me. I'm still stuck in the days when there was just metal (w/ the death, black, thrash, grind, and metalcore sub-genres). What in the hell is mallcore? Thats a new one on me.

As for the a$$ whipe music am sure that when reading my band list will find that I am not a fan of any of it! Metalunderground even added me! I enjoy rap, rock, some techno here and there, but the dominator is still Metal. It's the only music genre that has any hope in evolving in my opinion. Besides, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are just as p***ed at the world as Meshuggah or Behemoth could be, So it's not really that big of a jump musically to me. whatever though, just rambling.

I just find it amazing that so many people love that type of sh**. And it is total sh**. Suicide Silence have no redeeming quality to their music at all. I can understand someone wanting to listen to something that's heavy for the sake of it being heavy, but cmon, there are so many other bands that are heavy as hell that don't sound nearly as stupid. Even Ion Dissonance is better than those f***s. sh**, they aren't even good enough to rip off Meshuggah like Ion Dissonance.
