Evil Adam Issue Year End Update

Frontman and song writer, Rene Rosa, of New Jersey metallers, Evil Adam, issue the following update on their Myspace page:
"Hello Evil World,"
"It's that time of year, the end of it, where I have to chime in and give you something to look back on and look forward to. As Rene Rosa had an insane year, Evil Adam had a very quiet one. Why? Well here is a list:"
"1] 2007 marked the 10th year that Evil Adam has existed in some form or another. I started Evil Adam as a solo-recording project in 1997 and eventually put the songs online in 1998, and played live for the first time as well. What does that mean? 2008 is the 10th anniversary of when Evil Adam went "public". More on that in a few."
"2] Martin Espaillat, though he only played 2 shows with us, was our first real drummer and the last to play a live show with Evil Adam. Unfortunately this year we lost a great friend in Martin as he left us way too soon. Shocked, saddened, and devastated are words that do nothing to describe how all of us who knew him felt about his disappearance and then the eventual discovery of his body. Losing him helped me realize the value of everyone around me on a daily basis, as well as my own value to others. If anything good could have come from the horrible experience of losing him, I would say that many of us really learned who were our true friends this year and also learned the value of the friendships we have held for so long. There has been plans for a multi-media tribute show, featuring video and live performances that of bands that Martin was involved with or followed in his friends, and I hope it gets to happen next year."
"3] On a happier note, I'm engaged and getting married in 2008. That alone is fantastic, good, and awesome, however is enough to completely make Evil Adam go on pause, along with the fact that there is no full lineup of permanence. I love my Rosa Ferrer (soon to be Rosa Rosa) and wouldn't have it any other way. I even wrote a damn good song because of it. However, I have a wedding to plan and money to save, so I'm not certain that a full scale Evil Adam live resurgence is going to be happening yet... however:"
"4] Coming in 2008: "The Root of All Evil" - Yes, you heard it officially here first. Along with a new song I wrote recently, and hopefully a couple other new ones, I have begun the tracking of a new release (I can't say CD or album anymore, thanks to the way that the music business has gone). "The Root of All Evil" is named just that for a reason: the songs will feature a listing of some favorite tracks, many of which are about 10 years old, being re-recorded and spiffed up in a real studio environment. Produced and engineered by Zack Dusedau, it features me, Rene Rosa, on Vocals, Guitar, and Bass and longtime Evil Adam drummer, Jay Curcio, on drums. Expect a whole lot more of information and details about the release in the months to come."
"So yeah, though there has been some pure shit to happen in the past, there is a definite chin up in Evil Adam camp and eyes looking at that bright sunny ass horizon. Thanks to everyone who has been in Evil Adam, listened to Evil Adam, pimped Evil Adam, shared Evil Adam, saw Evil Adam live, and talked shit about Evil Adam. Being in your ears and in your mind is what I'm most concerned with, because I can always make new music and just get things going again, provided I have the time. I love my Rosa, music, steak, movies, beer, and life, and I hope you all can be part of that life in the coming year.
Happy 2008 and Fuck 2007 (negatively and romantically for there are good and bad things in every year!)"
"Yours truly,
Rene Rosa from Evil Adam"
