yea its a shame that theyre not revered as being a part of "The Big Four" in thrash metal cuz theyre definitely one of the best thrash bands. alex scolnick is a f***ing genius on guitar

The bi Four refers to the most mainstream of thrahs bands im pretty sure. And the one's who became the biggest were Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax

i like all of "The Big Four" bands but the only thing with Testament is they came around too late so they kinda didnt get included as being regarded as a major thrash band. same thing with annihilator

I don't think Testament came around too late. They just didn't get the recognition for their earlier material and it didn't sell as well as the others. Plus they had a rough time with labels as well. I have to say I was not a big fan of theirs until later, into the 90s. I like the best songs of their old material but have not felt the need to buy every single album before The Ritual. I have them all after that. Regardless of the "big four" status, they are up there in my top 5 with Slayer as well. I've lost interest in Metallica and Megadeth for the most part, and while I liked a lot of Belladonna and Bush-era Anthrax, who knows where they're headed now with the new singer.

The Big 4.. well kinda obvious.. because they were one of the f***ing Earliest bad boys around! 83, 83, 84, 84... not many were around then. and truely deserve that status whether they are popular or not! none the less.. Testament smokes ass, i saw them in london when they recorded their DVD!. come back!

In my book Testament are in the 'Big 4" of thrash, they can replace Megadeth. I'm just not a big fan of Megadeth, Dave sings like a little girl and he sounds like sh** live. My five would be Slayer, Testament, Kreator, Sepultura and early Metallica.
