UK black metallers CRADLE OF FILTH have issued the following update:

"The world tour for the Thornography album, which last saw COF in Russia, Ukraine, UK, Romania, Slovakia and North America with GWAR is now complete. The band has now returned home to start writing for a new record over the dark months in the rehearsal room. The new album, which is not yet titled, will be released some time in 2008 via RoadRunner Records. Keep your eyes peeled for updates.

If it was even possible for them to write anything like Midian I would be thrilled for a return to that style. Aside from the simplistic, nearly -core riffs from Thornography, Dani's vocals were absolutely horrible and unimaginative. All the crazy styles in the From Cradle to Enslave area, just gone.

Thornography was their worst album ever. They're not even as heavy or heavy at all from their last albums, I like Bitter Suits To Succubi, I think the riffs were way better and Dani sounded more badass. Other than the fact that Dani Filth is a d***, and if you haven't met him and you think he's a cool guy, think again. I have no faith in this band anymore. Symphonic Black Metal is way too cheesy.

Considering their back catologe, Cradle of Sh*t should've known better. Now, if you are not familiar with quality black metal, just say so and I'm sure that some of the learned folks that frequent this forum would be more than happy to drop a few names. As I mentioned earlier in a previous post, Anaal Nathrakh is more than worthy of a listen. Everything they do is stellar. Hope this helps you out in some way. But, if not, just grow a set of nuts and stop buying cr@ppy music at the f*cking mall.
