I OWN A KKV (KERRY KING SIGNATURE GUITAR, BC RICH), I'VE HAD IT FOR FOUR YEARS NOW, IN JANUARY IT WILL BE FIVE YEARS, AND I'VE BEEN DOING SOME WORK ON IT I REPLACED THE PICKUPS WITH THE KFK SET AND A PREAMP BOOST, THIS CHRISTMAS I'M PUTTING ON AN EMG-AB, THEN LAST A FERNANES SUSTAINER, SO I'M MAKING THE GUITAR ITSELF BETTER, I KNOW THERE'S ALSO AN ESP VERSION, BUT, I CHOSE THE BC RICH BECAUSE IT REPLICATED IT, ALTHOUGH BY DOING THIS, I KNEW I HAD TO PUT MONEY IN THIS, BUT IT IS ALMOST DONE, AND IT'S WORTH IT

AS MUCH AS HENDRIX WAS A GREAT GUITARIST, HE DEFINATELY DON'T HAVE THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE GUITAR IN MY OPINION, I PERSONALLY THINK FENDERS ARE TOO PLAIN, I LIKE GUITARS TO STAND OUT, IN SHAPE, AND DESIGN, LIKE MY KKV (KERRY KING V THAT I'M UPGRADING), KERRY KING HAD SOME AWESOME GUITARS, LOOK AT JACK OWENS, I LIKE GUITARS FROM NEAL MOSER, THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE SHAPES, AND DESIGNS OF BC RICH, DON'T BELIEVE ME GO TO NEALMOSER.COM, WHEN I GET ALL MY GUITAR EQUIPMENT, I'M GETTING 4 CUSTOMIZE GUITARS DONE BY ESP, AND I'M GOING TO IMPLY, THE SHAPES OF NEAL MOSER, AND THE GUITARS WILL BE DONE IN GOLD LEAF (THE TRIBALS), AND BLACK, A WIDOW HEADSTOCK, WITH A CROSS TRIBAL, WITH DIAMONDS ON IT, AND ON THE FRETBOARD, INVERTED CROSSES IN DIAMONDS, TRIBAL SKULLS ON THE KNOBS, WITH THE SAME SETTINGS I'M PUTTING ON THE KKV, AND THE SHAPES ARE, THE STARBLAZER, THE B*STARD VI, THE SIREN, AND THE SPAWN SV, BOY THIS IS GOING TO COST ME OUT MY A**

I love Hendrix's music but i think he is really overated. Don't get me wrong he was a great guitarist but he wasn't as much good as he was inovative by doing stuff on the electric guitar that nobody had ever done before
RIP Chuck Shuldiner guitar god

SAD HOW CHUCK HAD TO DIE, HE WAS TOO YOUNG, ONLY 32, AND DIED IN 2001 OF A BRAIN TUMOR, HE'S DONE SOME INCREDIABLE STUFF ON THE GUITAR, HE'S HAD A BIG IMPACT ON ME, AND WHO KNOWS WHAT THAT MAN COULD BE DOING TODAY IF HE WAS ALIVE, WE'LL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH MORE HE HAD LEFT IN HIM, HE MAY BE GONE, BUT HIS MUSIC, AND THE PEOPLE HE TOUCHED LIVES ON, RIP CHUCK, WE ALL MISS YOU, IF ONLY YOU KNEW WHAT AN IMPACT YOU HAD ON ME, AND ALL OF US

Yeah, Hendrix was definitely innovative, and influenced probably every rock guitarist since his time, but I don't think he was that great objectively - without looking at his place in history. I personally wouldn't have minded seeing Jaco Pastorius' Jazz bass make the list, or Geddy Lee's, or Stanley Clarke's. Maybe Stu Hamm's Urge II... I suppose since the list is for rock, I shouldn't see Jaco or Stanley, but they put Bootsy on there, and Buck Owens... I'm surprised (but not disappointed) that one of Korn's Ibanez 7-strings didn't show up, or Steve Vai's Jem. Mike Inez's acoustic bass with the "Friends Don't Let Friends Get Friends Haircuts" is pretty recognizable, and Cliff Burton's Ric 4001... And the list goes on. We should make one of our own...
