Dark Funeral has blamed the Australian Tour promoter for "cancelled shows"
Sweden's Dark Funeral have rejected accusations by an Australian promoter that their "unprofessionalism" has resulted in their proposed Australasian tour being cancelled and have blamed the promoter's own unethical behavior for the tour's failure to materialize.
"Well, what can I say????" bassist/vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula began when contacted by Blabbermouth.net for a comment on the tour's cancellation. "It says [in the promoter's statement] that they have been organizing this 'tour' for 2 months???? Why did we hear about it just three weeks ago?? That's why and the only reason for us not coming over — we simply did not know anything about it! I must say it's [the promoter's] own unprofessionalism that has caused this, not ours. If they had contacted us, the band that they were booking, so at least we could prepare, and know what we were doing and so on... [But] noooooo.....
"I blame this on the so-called 'agency' to start a rumor and put the band in a bad position. I just feel sorry for our fans over there [in Australia] who have to suffer for being misled by a fucked-up agency .
"We do want to play Australia, but would then know so at least a few months (2-3) in advance.
"Sorry for this, bro', but there is nothing I can do..."
