The Black Widows have inked a deal with Equal Vision Records

Louisville hardcore band, The Black Widows, have reportedly signed a deal with Equal Vision Records. The band is currently writing material for a new full-length that will see release through EVR in early 2003. Of course in the interim, the band has a few things going on. They will be releasing their Stops A Beating Heart EP on 10" vinyl with two extra songs for Reflections Records, followed by a split 7" with Downpour on Deathwish Inc. There is also talk of a possible split with fellow Initial Records band, Blood Red. Otherwise, look for the band to play a few shows in the Midwest during the next few months, including the following:

9/12 Indianapolis IN @ Solidarity Books w/ The Dream Is Dead, Playing Enemy, Harakiri
9/14 Chicago IL @ Fireside Bowl w/ Rise Against, more
10/4 Cincinnati OH @ Bogarts w/ Thursday, FATA, Engine Down
