Sicboy Leave Attack Records

The Stamford-based band, Sicboy , is announcing the termination of their recording contract with Attack Records and Filmworks, Toronto Canada after the release of one album, “Artificial Flavors”. The band signed with Attack Records in July 1999 and recorded the album in August and September of that year. The album was eventually released in October 2000 in both the US and Canada.

Attack Records and Sicboy and Sicboy Entertainment LLC will continue to work together on a licensing and publishing level regarding the music from ‘Artificial Flavors’ along with Cherry Lane Music Publishing.

“Both parties have split amicably and the band is moving forward, writing new music and looking to partner with a new label for future releases,” says Drew Trudeau, bassist, citing a need to explore other avenues, creatively and otherwise. The band , along with former rhythm guitarist, Larry Settembrini, recently recorded several new tracks with producer Darius Szczepaniak, who has engineered and worked with such artists as Sum 41 , The Black Crowes , Matthew Good Band , I Mother Earth and Barenaked Ladies. Szczepaniak also served as head engineer and co-producer on ‘Artificial Flavors’. The band plans on releasing the new music in the form of an EP entitled “Tease” in Fall 2002 on a limited basis and will be producing and distributing the EP independently.

Tentative Track Listing for “Tease”

  1. Born Again
  2. Awake
