"some music was meant to stay underground..."

To/Die/For will be entering the studio after writing "much heavier" songs for their new album

Finland's To/Die/For — who were recently rejoined by guitarist J.P. Sutela — will enter Astia Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland on October 5th to begin recording their new album, entitled Jaded, for a tentative early 2003 release through Spinefarm Records. A single release will precede album before the end of the year.

Lead guitarist Joonas "Jope" Koto recently stated the following about the album's musical direction: "The new songs are much heavier and faster than before. Yes there are lots of programmings and stuff on the new songs but they are still very heavy. There's much more guitars on the new stuff than on Epilogue and the closest comparison could be Pain, but we're not imitating anyone. All you true goths are going to be very disappointed because there will NOT be anything on the album that categorizes us in the gothic genre. We have already demoed three of the new songs and right now three more are under construction so for the very first time we're on schedule."
