AVENGED SEVENFOLD will reportedly perform on Spike TV's second annual Scream Awards, which will be taped on October 19 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles and air on Tuesday, October 23. Alice Cooper will be presented with a "Rock Immortal Award" at the event, which focuses on the horror, science fiction and fantasy genres in entertainment.
AVENGED SEVENFOLD recently filmed a video for its new single, "Almost Easy". The track comes off the new CD, which arrives on October 30.
The new record will follow up the band's 2005 breakthrough effort, "City of Evil", and marks their first attempt at producing themselves.

I like a lot of metal bands but I don't see why you all hate A7X so much I mean they aren't as good as one of my favourite bands which happens to be Arch Enemy but they are good. Does anyone agree? I don't like this band mostly due to the guy's whiny singing voice. Other than that, musically, they aren't that bad, but still nothing special in my opinion. Mostly though, people hate them for the same reason they hate the backstreet boys. They're douchebags. From what I read of their interviews and whatnot, as well as any time I see them, I can only conclude either poser or emo. Imagewise at least. Plus, they have the Slipknot syndrome, in which SO MANY posers listen to them, regardless of the bands talent, making you hate everything associated with them. Excuse me if this doesn't refer to you.

But there are songs without his whiney voice. I do prefer Waking the fallen over city of evil. His whiney voice isn't in the song Critical Acclaim. At least not compared to songs like seize the day and beast and the harlot.

It sounds the same as all their other bullsh** music, the screaming is horrible, the whiny emo sing-along choruses are unbearable. The guitar work isn't bad but the dudes style sounds watered down and played out, doesn't impress me much. Anyone who listens to this band is wasting their time, just go get a Maiden album.

A lot of people seriously need to get over themselves. Who gave you the authority to determine whether a band is good or not? Sure you can hold your own opinion, but that's it. Music is entirely subjective to one's personal tastes, and those are different for everyone. I can't say that I blame him. I still listen to ICP now and again though, for nostalgia and some kicks.
