More Van Halen Tour Dates Trickle In

With several shows on its upcoming tour already sold-out, Van Halen has added a couple of dates and tweaked its schedule a bit.

The rock gods, who have reunited with original frontman David Lee Roth after 22 years, will kick off their North American outing Sept. 27 in Charlotte, NC. Since last check, they've slotted in shows Oct. 5 in Uncasville, CT, and Nov. 29 in Fresno, CA, and made their finale a Dec. 16 gig in San Jose, CA. Details are listed below.

Since tickets went on sale earlier this month, Van Halen has sold out shows in Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia; Boston; Washington, DC; and two each in Toronto, the Chicago area and the Detroit area, according to information from tour promoter Live Nation and Van Halen's website. The Uncasville concert went on sale August 31 and on-sale dates for shows in November and December have yet to be announced.

Fans who have the Citi/AAdvantage credit card will be offered access to preferred seats and those willing to pay for the "ultimate Van Halen experience"--with pre-show parties, backstage access, premium seating, etc. (though no guaranteed face time with the band)--can find details at the I Love All Access website.

Though Roth is back in the band, Van Halen will not be returning to the road with its original lineup. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen's 16-year-old son, Wolfgang, will take the place of original bassist Michael Anthony, who's been playing regularly with former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar. In fact, Hagar and Anthony are heading out in October for a 60-date run that will feature a set of Van Halen material.

Van Halen is on the short list of artists who have scored two Diamond Awards, signifying album sales of 10 million or more, according to a press release. The recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers earned the honor with their 1978 self-titled debut and again with "1984."

THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST LEG...CALM DOWN FOLKS!! JUST HOPE YOU DON'T RUIN YOUR KIDS CHRISTMAS BUYING THE TICKETS. That's my gripe..yeah no Mike is bad, but the monetary rape taking place here will be very obscene!! From the business end of thing's Eddie and the boy's should have really given there long time fans a treat buy charging a dollar for each year Dave has been gone...something like say, 22$!! Listen folks Eddies got numerous ventures we know of like his $25,000 replica axes! Plus a new line of amps! These guys hardly need new Lambprghini money, but instead they will abuse everyone by charging big dollars to hear the classics again.

One more thing about Mike's departure...It makes no sense to me at all!! You spend 30years with a guy, go all over the world with him...HE ALWAYS DID HIS THING OWN BASS AND THOSE SWEET HIGH NOTES HE COULD HIT, SO WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT INCLUDE THE GUY? I'VE HEARD CABO WABO, SAMMIES TEQUILA COMPANY..AND MIKE PLAYING WITH HIM HAS PLAYED A PART IN THE BS, BUT HAS EVERYONE FORGOT MIKE WAS THERE WAY BEFORE SAM EVEN SANG A NOTE FOR VAN HALEN......I JUST HOPE WOLFIE MAKES US ALL PROUD TO KNOW HIM AS PLAYER. HE'S YOUNG, WITH A GREAT TEACHER WE ALL KNOW.

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE, I'VE SEEN FLOOR TICKETS GOING FOR $2000 ONLINE. I AHVE NO IDEA WHAT THE FACE VALUE IS OR WAS, BUT THIS IS THE TYPE OF CRAP I'M TALKING ABOUT.....THEY'RE ESTABLISHED ENOUGH TO HAVE DONE AMUCH BETTER JOB ASSURING BETTER SERVICE AND PRICING CONTROLS..YEA I REALIZE SOME DOPES BOUGHT THEM TO MAKE PROFIT..BUT IF THE FACE VALUES WERE DEALT WITH FROM THE TOP..LIKE THE $22 IDEA I SPOKE OF.....THERES NO WAY $2000 COULD EVEN BE NEGOTIATED BY ANYONE WITH AN OUCE OF SENSE.....MAYBE A $100 BUT $2000!! NO F'N WAY!! THESE GUYS ARE RICH AND THEY'LL DIE THAT WAY...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SWEET TO THINK ABOUT THE GUY OR GAL WHO HAS KID'S AND A MORTGAGE WHO WAS BUYING AND SUPPORTING THIS BAND DURING THE ROTH ERA..I KNOW WHO CARES? RIGHT? I DO.

Keep in mind that these 2000 dollar tickets are being illgially sold through a scalping company and I don't think Ed and boys will get any coin off these sales ,think about it I can't go to hockey game in Toronto for less then 200 bucks so there just keeping up with the times ,and not to mention ,you just wait and see the ticket prices for the Eagles when they come back and tour ,VH will seem to be a deal and half for 150.00 bucks

I saw the new GNR in Vegas at the Joint and it cost $150 for GA. I floated a bouncer $60 and got up to front row. Mind you it wasn't Slash and Axl, but rather Axl and his b****es. You're talking Van F'N Halen with Roth! Rockers don't get better live with time. This might be a one shot deal. If you really want to witness it, you're going to have to put your money where your mouth is. Money is the reason they make nice in the first place.

I just took my son and husband to the Philly show last night, Oct 1st, and the 500.00 we paid for the tickets was worth every penny! They rocked their asses off! Although alittle loud for my son, the music sounded awesome and Wolfie fit in as though he were an original. NO ONE was sitting for the entire show! Everyone was dancing, singing, fist pumping and smiling -- including the band! GREAT SHOW!!! If you can score tickets, or already have them...get ready for a fun ride for the night!
