Children of Bodom have signed a new deal with Spinefarm/Universal Records

After six months of negotiations, Finland's Children of Bodom have officially inked a new deal with Spinefarm/Universal Records. The group's new single, "You're Better Off Dead", is currently set for a September 16th release. Also included on the CD will be the group's cover of The Ramones classic "Somebody Put Something In My Drink".

As previously reported, Childrean of Bodom will shortly enter Astia studio to begin recording the follow-up to 2000's Follow The Reaper, due out early next year.

"We'll spend about five weeks [recording and mixing], and the new album should be out in January or February," said keyboardist Janne Warman. "We have about nine new songs ready to record [right now], and they're really heavy."
