Ozzy Osbourne will return to the Ozzfest line up after missing only two dates

Ozzy Osbourne will return to his post as the headliner of Ozzfest 2002 sooner than expected, according to MTV.com. Ozzy will resume his headlining slot on August 7th in Clarkston, Michigan, an Osbournes spokesperson has told MTV.

Last week when Ozzy Osbourne first announced his departure from the trek to be with wife/manager Sharon during her first chemotherapy session in her battle with cancer, he said he planned to rejoin the tour on August 22nd in Denver. However, it now appears that watching his wife undergo the often grueling treatment was so overwhelming that he almost passed out and had to be taken to a recovery room, the family's spokesperson said.
