Devildriver Enter German Charts
DEVILDRIVER's third album, "The Last Kind Words", has entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 92. The CD is scheduled for release in the U.S. on July 31 via Roadrunner Records. An e-card for "The Last Kind Words" has been made available at this location.
DEVILDRIVER recently filmed a video for the song "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" in Los Angeles with director Nathan Cox (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARILYN MANSON, SYSTEM OF A DOWN). The clip is expected to be released shortly.
In a recent interview with MTV.com, DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara (ex-COAL CHAMBER) stated about the group's new CD, "The 'last kind words' could be 'f--- you' before complete annihilation. For me, this album is about being motivated to stand up to the punishment of being a human and to have the character in you to go on when all people want to do is hold you down."
"Lyrically, it's dark and foreboding," Fafara added. "But it's gonna give you inspiration to go through this earthly experience and keep kicking."
"I think we knew we had to reach within ourselves as a team and pull something out that was really different. Everyone totally put aside their egos and stepped up to the plate to do what needed to be done. In America right now, there's so much of that sing-songy metal going on, so we knew if we did something totally balls-out it was going to be well-received."
If you purchase "The Last Kind Words", from Apple's iTunes Store, you will receive an exclusive live version of "Grinfucked" completely free.

I gotta say, for me this is one of the releases that I am really looking forward to. The first two albums were nothing short of amazing. The second album was better than the first, and the first album was awesome. Devildriver got me into way heavier bands than what I was listening to at the time. I think at that time the heaviest band I listened to was slipknot. The first two albums was sick but the 3rd, subliminal verses p***ed me the f*** off. To me that was not slipknot, it sounded more like stone sour than slipknot. I love stone sour but corey should have keeped the two separate. I grow to like it but not love it. Now if it wa a stone sour album I would have f***en loved it. W/e Anyway i got into devildriver cause of that reason. Also I was a big coal chamber fan so I had sum interest in devildriver before I even heard their music cause of dez. They opened the door for me getting into heavier bands. I now listen to darkest hour, god forbid, demon hunter, hatebreed, soulfly, nailbomb, slient civilian among others. So thanks devildriver. I'm hoping the new record is as good as the last two.

To post 5, I've heard songs by all the bands that u have mentioned. None of them really do anything for me. The only one that I probably would want to check out would be opeth. Musically they are really good, the way the blend in different elements, how they mix mellow and then get really heavy. However im not sure about them lyrically. I would give them a shot though. But the other bands u mentioned, sorry dude , they do nothing for me. So when I mean I got into heavier music, I meant to say good music. Cause any band can be heavy but that doesnt make them good or talented.
